I came in and ordered a french toast muffin and a large iced skim pumpkin spice latte. The muffin was actually pretty good, and the girl who took me on the register was nice. I was super excited because pumpkin is usually reserved for fall. I was immediately let down when I saw the espresso machine spurting out the espresso which was the first bad sign. Then I watched the man making my latte put ice first and swirl the espresso around in it and then add the syrup which melted the ice and watered down the espresso. He also just topped the water espresso mix with skim milk. When youâre making a latte you should add the syrup first, then the hot espresso that caramelizes the sugars in the syrup and top with cold milk and then add ice to preserve the flavor of the espresso. I tried to explain that to the man making my coffee because I could tell it wasnât going to be good and he fed me some weird line about how he adds extra ice in the summer? And tried to convince me it was going to look watery because of the skim milk, not the fact he had melted so much ice. Which, yes, skim milk does look watery in lattes but it was made so poorly. I tried it when I got to my car and did not drink any more. It tasted incredible watery and was a complete waste of money. I would never come back here for coffee again, if youâre going to have an espresso machine a) make sure its functioning correctly and b) train your staff on how to properly make drinks. I would never recommend coming here for coffee, but I would recommend the french...

Read moreWhile at work and in need of a caffeine boost, I came to Capito based on the look of the google pictures. Boy am I glad I did.
I got the Breve, and it blew me away. Wow. So I resolved to bring my wife here on a date, despite living an hour away. I couldn't have asked for a better experience:
We asked for the coffee that comes with gelato, but they didn't have any (lack of sales). "Wait a second--" she went and tracked down the owner. They went across the way to Frankie Slice, and borrowed some freshly made gelato. I mean, wow. Seriously good stuff.
Each of the coffees were delicious.
After chatting with Frankie about how we came all this way just to try his coffee, not only did he give us a free sample of one of his new cans of cold brew, he also plated a free slice of lemon tort cake for us! What a guy.
Looking for a coffee shop, or neat place for a date?...
