Took my family of five to sunnyside. My 13 yr old son is severely austistic, non verbal and struggles in busy crowded places but he had been to sunnyside on a school field trip and loved it. There are not a lot of places we attempt as a family of five knowing my sons limitations but given past history we thought it would be fun and give it a go. When we arrived it was crowded and busy with no apparent lanes available in the main area. My kids and husband decided it best to wait in the car while I assessed if the situation was do able for our son. I approached the counter and explained to the young girl working the situation with my son and asked if it was possible to request a lane in the far unoccupied room. She called over a man who I would assume was the manager or owner. His response to me was "why did you come now". As if I am supposed to understand when his venue tends to be busy versus not. Perhaps he should have taken a moment to reflect around the room on all the families enjoying time together with their kids and realized we had come to do the same. His response was insensitive, ignorant and unaccommodating. Then tried to tell me they were doing work to that room which I found to be an excuse as I had been in there prior to asking and there was no apparent work being done. I told him his response was "unfortunate" and turned to leave. He then followed me to the exit speaking loudly from behind to "come back after 12:30 when its quieter". I hope Sunnyside focuses on improving ways to accommodate people with disabilities. Not only was this a huge disappointment for my son as we drove away but was for my other kids, myself and my husband as we sacrifice not doing so many typical family fun things due to my sons limitations. I do not recommend Sunnyside for anyone with disabilities in need of special accommodations. Needless to say we will...

Despite the “family sport” sign displayed in the window, the owner does not like kids. We went bowling and rented two lanes for one string of bowling. While dancing around and having fun, the two kids did not leave our section once. They were using toy cars on the table, again in a section only available to us. When it came time to play a second string, we had technical issues that the owner had to help with. He was shouting across the alley rather than walking over to us, and literally scolded us for not listening to him. He was extremely rude to us, and when one of the adults mentioned his tone was very rude for us not understanding how to fix the bowling screen ourselves, he got more aggressive. Eventually he said we should leave, and when we started taking off our shoes, he tried to say he was kidding. During check out, he started listing out that the kids were loud and playing too slow, which wasn’t mentioned to us during the game. We were being just as loud as other patrons. Due to this guys attitude, a four year old left crying because he thought he would get to play another round on his birthday with his best friend. To the owner,...
