Tom Bass Regional Park & Dog Park — Attraction in Pearland

The park itself is very nice, but the picnic tables are VERY dangerous!!! We were there for a baby shower, & my husband, my sister-in-law & I were sitting at one of the picnic tables, & we were all 3 on the same side. All of a sudden, the table started to tip over!!! Luckily, some of the other guests who were there, saw it & ran over & got it back upright. Had it fallen, we would have all hit our head on the concrete, & who knows what other injuries we would have sustained. None of us are over weight, so that's not the reason it tipped. The tables all look like they're pretty stable, but they're not, & they all need to be secured to the concrete, because that is a bad injury & a lawsuit waiting to happen!!! We love bringing our dog. They have a large and small dog area. This helps the small dogs feel safe. My dog is medium size and she feels comfortable on either side,but prefers the small dog side. Sometimes the large dogs are too big for her liking. She's more of a runner and less playful and likes the space available to run on the small dog side. Comes with walking path for humans, and water fountain for dog access and human. With free poop bags and trash stations. Even an area to rise off your dog if it gets dirty. We love the people who visit, some we recognize and say hi, but mostly we all enjoy the space together. I’ve been coming to this park for years now and every time there seems to be something new. The park has enjoy quite a bit of new remodels such as the new dog park and the awesome new trails that make it so nice to walk or bike ride around the whole park. The play ground area is a bit run down but quite nice for the kiddoes and the picnic areas areas are quite well keep too for a BBQ’s or a small party. I’ve also have to say during the special holidays the park can get quite full so make sure to arrive on time to get a spot. I was forgetting about the pavilion it’s such a nice space and quite fun for having small event such as a schools play or just a movie, I’m not to sure if they still use it.
