My review is long but it covers some things you need to know. I live 8 whole, American minutes from the park in Pearland…from now on I will be driving past it to Sugarland! Its bad enough that sometimes the crowd itself can be a little less than desirable. That has nothing to do with race and all to do with people not watching their kids no matter what their skin looks like. But I digress. This review is about THE PARK AND EMPLOYEES themselves. I was there in March and we did the go-karts. It took SO LONG for us to get in, it was chaos! When we finally did they were SSLLOOWWWWWW. Never seen anything like it where the workers control the cars. Yesterday when I walked in the one person working up front didn’t give me a receipt. When I asked for one she said she couldn’t because the printer was broken. Unacceptable. Eventually the manager was able to print me a receipt. There was a young lady who sprung into action, idk her name but it appears she went to Lamar University by her hoodie and bag. (She was leaving later when I saw her and got my receipt.) I will attach a photo of the empty entry to where people/kids go to be fitted for the harnesses for the aerial rides. It was empty for most of the night. So much so that a man came up to us asking have we seen any employees so he can get his child fitted. My kids kept going back for over an hour seeing if anyone was in there. When I took the picture it had been at least 45 mins. There was a young lady in concession, she appeared Hispanic, very nice and taking care of ALL the customers herself. She was on her job. It appeared the rest of the employees were just running in and out of the kitchen. Also, who ever was in there last night burnt up some peoples chicken tenders and overcooked mine. Idk what they are doing back there but I am sure that all the people running back and forth in there did not belong. Then…I had bought $14 in drinks. No refills?!? Ok, so we live in inflationary times and these places are going to gouge us! A trampoline park where kids are running and playing and no refill on fountain drinks is INSANE! BUT…about an hour later my kids were thirsty so I took the cups we already had and asked for some ice and water. One boy said he would ask. Huh?? Then whoever was “in charge” wearing a purple durag came out and said they can’t do that. It was almost a riot in the line because not only had I seen a few people given icewater before, people in line voiced the same. The employees, for the most part, are doing a HORRIBLE job! I gave 2 stars for the 2 ladies who were on their jobs! I did end up getting the cup of water and later a cup of ice for the water I brought from my car! So Urban Air: Why no refills on fountain drinks? Why no cups of ice/water especially for those who have already paid for drinks? Why charge $2.95 for water that is $1 anywhere else? IceMountain or whatever off brand you purchase in bulk! Why not hire staff that is capable of running this park accurately and timely? The ineptitude and laziness was at an all time HIGH last night. As I stated, I will drive right past this park 8 mins from my house and go 20 mins out to Sugarland. Its been a while since I was there but if they are now like this location then I will find a new trampoline park altogether. Go to the Pearland location at...
Read moreI don't typically write reviews, but in this instance I feel compelled to give a pat on the back for a job well done. So, similar to another reviewer on here, I placed a deposit down for a birthday party before reading the online reviews and needless to say...I was super nervous. I braced myself as our party (which we had tonight) approached because I really didn't have a backup plan if this didn't turn out well (and there were a lot of negative reviews on here). We went tonight and had our party and let me tell you, I could not have been happier! My child turned 2 years old, but we needed a place to accommodate children of varying ages (ages 2 - 15) for her party and this place really hit the mark! The personnel were awesome (it is true there's a lot of teenagers working there but they've hired some awesome kids who are polite, hard working and attentive. The staff I encountered really did a great job. Plus, there's a new GM named Mr. Smith who goes around and checks on everyone to ensure everything is going well for all of the patrons and I even saw him pitching in to help keep the facility clean - leading by example from what I could tell). Overall, everyone in our party was beyond pleased and intends to go back again. Our party host, Dominique, was a total sweetheart. She was super courteous and a dedicated-hard worker that was very patient (she even took the time out to answer a question I had when she'd literally just clocked out for the night at the end of our party). There was a slight hiccup with the go-karts (unfortunately the cars were breaking down due to mechanical failure so it caused the line to move really slow - however, the manager was more than willing to give vouchers to folks that preferred to come back when there were more cars available if the wait became too much). Again, not a deal breaker - things happen and when a viable solution is given - I'm happy. I did have to go to the facility in-person once, leading up to the party, because I had a hard time getting through on the phone, but that too was a very pleasant experience (and I saw why the phone wait was long when I arrived - there were a ton of people trying to gain entry). Overall, I would absolutely do my child's party there again and we plan to go back and just have fun one day (I'll probably be taking my baby to the toddler and preschool jump). Overall, don't be afraid to give them a try. The staff was very accommodating, the facility was clean with tons to do for kids of all ages and adults. We had a blast! I will say, most of the reviews that describe frustration with access to attractions sound like they go on Saturdays. We had our party on a Friday night and had no issue whatsoever utilizing the various activities the facility has to offer (except for the go-karts due to mechanical issues). Would I go back? Absolutely! Was it worth the money? Every penny. I would say, try to avoid a peek time on Saturday and it should be a very enjoyable experience for you. It was for me and my family (and I am...
Read moreOverall had a decent experience throwing my toddlers birthday party here.
Pros:
-Party Hosts The party hosts and even the front desk staff were all very attentive to any questions/concerns I had. Shout out to them! (Part of the reason why I gave 3 stars).
-Attractions There are a lot of fun things to do for kids of all ages. Everything from the go karts to the obstacle course or even the dodgeball area will definitely keep everybody entertained for the duration of a birthday party.
Cons:
-Overpriced The pricing is outrageous for the experience (At least the one I had). On top of the listed price on their website... I was not aware of an automatice $50 tip fee for the party host added onto the final payment until after I booked. The hosts were great but I found myself doing most of the hosting. So like I said... Not worth what I paid for.
-Poor Management
-Highly Unorganized There was an issue right off the bat upon entering where they kept stating my party was at 5:00 instead of 4:00 like I had booked with the party coordinator and had even confirmed the time the day prior! They kept telling my guests who were trying to check in that the party wasn’t til 5:00 making it very confusing for everyone. So upon arrival I was told that the pizza and drinks I had ordered weren’t going to be ready until 5:00 like it said the schedule, SAY WHAT? My parties at 4 not 5:00! On top of that we had to wait about 30-45min for wristbands & socks. It looked liked the party host was really doing everything in his power to give us the experience Urban Air promotes on their website so props to him for that but I am still not happy with the fact that my scheduled time was not fulfilled due to the delay on their part (Which is not my fault). We were still told to leave the suite at 6:00 even though we barely received the pizza and drinks an hour prior (at 5 instead of 4). We were lucky enough to find some unoccupied tables on the lower level to allow the kids some more play time. Also, I booked the Platinum package which stated on their website I’d get a reserved go kart race for my party and I never received it. My guests had to wait in line for 20 min+ just like everybody else. There was an issue on the go karts as well where I had spoke to someone on the phone and they told me that if a child under 5 had a Platinum wristband they could have a parent with no wristband drive them. So, after waiting 20min in line one of the staff (or managers maybe-idk? he had a blue shirt on) states that is incorrect... That the parents driving the toddler need a wristband too. Wish I woulda known that beforehand!
-Unsupervised areas throughout the park There were many instances I would see kids with no masks jumping around and no staff around to enforce the policy. Not sure if this is due to lack of staff or staff just leaving these areas...
