We just had my 11 year old daughter's birthday party here. What an exceptional place this is ! The owners Lauren & Lyn have put a lot of thought and care into their escape rooms. They say it takes them as long as 6 months to build a new room and it shows. They're very intricately detailed so the players are always challenged. We had 2 rooms going at the same time- Cryptic Cay in which my son, daughter, and daughter's friends were in, and Escape from My Nightmare which had a group of adults, my daughter's aunts, uncles, and cousins. All had an amazing time. My wife and I were with a few other adults in the reception area while the players were in the escape rooms. We could hear them laughing, screaming and having lots of fun. Everyone said they had a blast and would do it again. We were able to set up food and drinks along with seating in the reception area so this is a good venue for a party of I would say up to 25 people. Note that they have a total of 3 escape rooms and can have 2 going at one time with a max of 6 or 7 people each. Many thanks to Lauren an Lyn for being great hosts and showing us a...

I'm not one to normally leave reviews, but I just had to for this place.

I've been to dozens of escape rooms all over South Florida. My friends and I are always in search of the coolest, newest ones. And I can honestly say, hands down, Nexus is the BEST escape room I've ever been to. I had really high expectations, since I had to drive from Dade to Broward to give them a shot. Man, the drive was so worth it. Their Cryptic Cay room is amazing. It just really goes beyond the usual puzzle patterns. It challenges you, and has some crazy-impressive technology that gets triggered as you play.

The staff there were also super nice and explained everything great. Once we were inside the room, the game master was the perfect combination of helpful, while also letting us independently work things out.

The whole place has this really cool, steampunk rustic look. We were actually celebrating a small party, so we used their conference room and it had this massive TV that was playing music.

All in all, it was just such a good time! I will definitely be going back to try any future rooms! I highly recommend Nexus...

First I have to give a HUGE shout out to the owners Lyn and Laura. These guys were great hosts and really just wonderful people. They are super passionate about what they are doing and it really shows. I am an escape room addict and their Cryptic Cay room is in my top 5 favorite of all time. All of their rooms have tons of really unique automated features and programmed elements that I have never seen before, all of which they have designed in house. For Cryptic Cay, they went ALL in on the design elements, which was absolutely amazing! I cannot rave enough about this room. The scary room was really well done as well. If you want absolutely creepy, jump scary, and really unique attributes again with unique automated things, this is definitely the room for you. I am not a scary room person, which is the biggest reason why it's not near the top of my list. Lastly, we did the saving Santa Paws room. Of the 3, it was my least favorite, but there was a TON packed into that one room. All in all, my fiance and I were just visiting the area and stopped at 3 different locations today and this one was by far...

Full disclosure, I am an Escape Room owner myself and have done over 100+ rooms. I have known the owners of Nexus Escape Room since the day they did one of my rooms about 3 years ago. I have had the pleasure of doing both of their rooms at Nexus in Pembroke Pines and can honestly say that they put a lot of detail in their designs. I just got done doing Escape Your Nightmares and the set design was awesome, the use of lighting, technology and puzzle flow was extremely well done. I have done many escape rooms with low light sitautions that tend to be more of a pain than anything else, but this room, the lighting was actually an element of the room, not just a gimick. The creativity impressed me. The hospitality that the owners show, not only me, but their customers is top notch! They stayed open during off hours to run a game for me, my brother and my wife on my birthday when I know they were dead tired and probably just wanted to crash. They even got me a bday cake unexpectedly and set up a birthday banner! Above and beyond service. Thanks guys and can't wait to check out any new rooms coming int he future.

What a fantastic experience, the reviews are 100% true. My family and I did the cryptic cay room that is set up to be a deserted island crash landing sort of scenario. The first room actually had sand completely covering the floor for an authentic feel. The clues are aren't too hard but aren't too easy either, we only got stuck a couple times and were able to make it out with 14 minutes to spare! The best part of this whole experience is how accommodating the owners are about rescheduling and credits. We originally booked for Father's Day 2021 but our grandfather died that day so we had to cancel. Getting a future credit was so easy that I didn't even have to call them when booking 7 months later because there wasn't an expiration! Then 1 person from our group couldn't make it and we just assumed we would eat that money since but without even asking we were told that we'd be getting a future credit for the 1 person who couldn't attend! We will be back here specifically because of the amazing customer service. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you!!

My friends and I booked a last minute escape room for a birthday today and we’re so glad we did! It was our first escape room experience for all of us, and it was a fun and hilarious challenge! We did the Cryptic Cay room first, which was more serious and a bigger challenge, and then the 18+ Polly’s Predicament room which had us all in stitches with laughter as we worked through it. The rooms were different sizes, very different vibes, and each room had different types of locks and puzzles to figure out. We can’t wait to go back and try the third room, as we highly recommend the experience to anyone, whether you’ve done escape rooms before or not. The service was also top notch - really fantastic experience overall.
