I have been to this restaurant no less than 200 times. I eat here almost every morning. I can tell you the food is excellent. The service is also very excellent. All the servers are good but Cristal and Olis are but very personable and attentive. This place doesn't look like much from the outside and parking can sometimes be a problem but don't be deterred from coming. Cleanliness is number one here and the place is always being scrubbed inside and out. All that being said, I wouldn't come if it weren't for the food. It is all homemade and very well prepared. Don't come looking for your typical american breakfast fare, it isn't here. What is here is a delicious and wide variety of Salvadorian cuisine. The Desayuno Con Carne (steak, eggs and so much more)$8, the papusas, and so much more. The lunch specials and dinner are fantastic. Skip the trip to Longhorn, Forget about IHOP and Denny's. Eggs, Bacon and Pancakes are just plain bad for you! Eat something prepared from scratch! The secret is out, the locals have spoken, El Tipico Guanaco is the best place to come for breakfast,...
Read morePupusas were wonderfully tasty. Food prices are reasonable. Customer service needs improvement, I had to bother another waitress for a drink since my waitress went missing in action, not really, she was busy chatting with another waitress. Original waitress seemed like she didnât want to be at work. Asked me what I wanted to drink, I said let me see the menu first and immediately Asked what I wanted to order ⊠hello, donât rush međ and she did it again. Not a big deal but it is annoying, especially when there were 3 occupied tables with customers and not that busy; please, donât rush people. I ate 2 pupusas, 1 beer, and a coke. I cancelled the yucca frita, thanked second waitress ( the friendly one), asked for my check, left her a tip, and I might come back. Donât like to be rushed, especially when I havenât looked at the menu yet. Overall, pupusas were great ( please work on the curtido, tasted like Indian curry), place is decent, prices are good, and...
Read moreI regularly donât write reviews, but this is important to say ... My mom and I went to eat breakfast, I ordered a Baleada supreme. Unfortunately, the chicken and the sausage were raw. After showing the uncooked items to the waitress, she didnât seem to care much about the issue. (mind you, uncooked chicken can cause salmonella poisoning!!) At the time we asked for the check, the full price for the uncooked meal was charged. In addition to that, they include a processing fee if you pay with a credit card. We asked the waitress to remove the fee since we were paying cash, and requested a credit for uncorked meal. She reduce the cost on the plate, but we still paid for the credit card processing/transaction fee. Also, keep in mind that on the bill the service fee and/or tip, is already included. â be careful what you pay for, and do not pay double for service. Unless it is absolutely excellentâ!!! âCHECK YOUR RECEIPTâ Definitely not...
