So I attempted to sell my PokƩmon card collection because scalper have ruined the hobby for me I had to take a pto because the guy who does the evaluation only work tues- Friday so I get to the location and I waited over an hour for them to finish helping the couple selling their cards so eventually they help me guy goes over my collection and is interested in I even priced out the card ahead of time based on current market value said he would have to speak with the owner because they didn't have that kinda money on hand at the store (understandable) so they got my info and made a copy of my id said theyll get back to me in a few days to work something out never happened I emailed 2 weeks because I didn't here from them I get a response saying they are still interested but they want to do a payment plan he asked if I had PayPal told him I didn't have one but I can make one which I did and that was the last communication I got from them I've called left vm texted and emailed nothing I've even emailed the owner and no response It wouldn't have bothered me if they said they weren't interested but the fact that they made me jump through all these hoops just to ghost me is the reason I'm...

I typically visit trading card shops in the Los Angeles area. For work I was the Bensalem PA area and was so excited when I found this PokĆ©mon card shop! Upon visiting it was like any other card store, but everything was overpriced anywhere from 20%-200% above retail. I actually came in with some cash excited to purchase some stuff. Booster boxes I buy from other card shops for around $100 is sold for $199 here. It makes no sense. All cards are above TCG player prices. So just to show my support I bought a mystery booster pack. It was $22 and had 4 mystery packs(all commons for me but thereās a chance for an uncommon). If these guys get things for wholesale price then why are their prices so above retail or current trending prices? Itās not like rent is super expensive...

I moved to this area of PA a few months back after living in New Jersey where there are card shops EVERYWHERE. In terms of product variety, RetreatCost is unrivaled. They carry English and Japanese cards as well as other TCGs and have always been fair in terms of prices and trade value (some products exceed MSRP, but these are usually items no longer easily available or in print, which is fine.)
I donāt review a ton, but my most recent trips have sold me. Gio goes above and beyond to build relationships with his customers. From my months of shopping, he is is knowledgeable, patient and even helps me find a card or two Iām looking for via store foot traffic!
