Perryville Branch Library — Attraction in Perryville

I cannot express how much I love this library!!!! I actually look forward to coming here when I can. Really spacious, plenty of study rooms. I love how the windows are tall and the building is surrounded by nature, so when you look out all you see are trees. It's very calming. The children's room is beautiful, it's so colorful! There's a huge selection of materials, especially the DVDs, they have every tv show imaginable. Great place to study, read, or just simply relax.

Edit Came here after having not been in a couple of years. I agree with Mark Olson's review, about the noise. I arrived a little before 4pm, so the middle school students had gotten out for the day, and the library was so loud! After returning some DVDs I had planned on staying a little longer to browse the books, but the environment was too obnoxious. I guess kids have just taken over libraries nowadays. Adults wanting to read or study are out of luck. If you need to get work completed come in the morning or the early afternoon. Overall, make sure you leave before 3pm. The Perryville Public Library is my favorite library of all the branches. The Perryville public library offers many programs for people of all ages. I love how the staff is always so nice and friendly to everyone and always willing to help weather its to check out books or help on computers. I also love how the library has a teen section that has been recently added and it was well needed because its a space for teens after school to be without being to loud and disturbing others in the library. The Perryville library is a very nice place if your looking for somewhere to study or read because they offer private study rooms. My favorite librarian is the teen librarian Mrs.Maddie because she is always willing to listen and talk while also doing a great job at managing the teen room. This is an absolute, first-class library. As a veteran who has spent a good deal of time in various cities, I've visited many different libraries and have held many different library cards. In doing so, I feel I can speak with some authority on the subject. This is one of the best library's I've had the pleasure of visiting. I only wish I had more time to spend there. The architecture is phenomenal, the building is clean, assistance is topnotch, the selection is varied and comprehensive and the atmosphere is everything one would expect.
