Pizza Tower — Restaurant in Perryville

This was our first time ordering from this place. We ordered a large pizza steak with extra mozzarella cheese, a small cheese steak and an order of French fries to be delivered. What we received was a small cheese steak loaded with Mayo, a large steak with only tomatoes and very lite lettuce and French fries that looked and tasted old. There was no pizza steak at all. I contacted the store and explained what we received. The gentleman who answered the phone said he would check with the chef. He returned to tell me that the chef just forgot to add the pizza sauce because they were very busy. I explained that there also was no cheese and that I had ordered extra mozzarella. I asked the gentleman if they could just remake the pizza steak and bring it out to us. I even offered to give back the incorrect steak. He again put me on hold as he had to discuss this with the chef. He returned to tell me that all he could do was credit me $3.00. He kept repeating that they were extremely busy. During this discussion my son began to eat the small cheese steak. Immediately after taking the first bite he shoves it aside. After seeing the look on my sons face, I told the gentleman on the phone that I guess the three dollar credit would have to work since that was all they were offering. After tasting the sandwich for myself, I had to agree with my son. This was the absolute worst steak sandwich that I have ever had in my entire life. It was extremely greasy and had a weird taste to it. We ended up giving it to the dogs and they wouldn’t even eat it. I use to love this place but as of my experience tonight. I must say I won’t be eating there anymore. I’ve had so many bad experiences with food chains recently. This was just poor service. I was really sad by the sad look of my sandwich but that couldn’t prepare me for the loss of fries. They forgot the fries, and normally that wouldn’t make me too upset, but with how sad my little sandwich looked I couldn’t images paying 10 dollars for this little thing called a chicken cordon bleu melt.

When I called to explain the situation to them, I was expecting them to be remorseful and offer a nice discount or special next delivery. Instead they offered more fries with my next order. I thought how cheap of them considering my history of ordering with them is always over $50 and never with fries. When I said that wouldn’t cover the loss of experience and fries they responded with, “well what do you want us to do.” I didn’t like being put on the spot as if I am stingy. They just wanted to break even, which I suppose is fair but at the same time, if you want to be successful you should go above and beyond.

Maybe it’s the Marine in me but I do not approve of how they handled my complaint. I felt they were rude and it was poor service with par food. After this and Taco’s and Tequila (read other reviews of mine). I will no longer partake in this food industry of poor service and poor food quality. I ordered delivery, a pizza with onions, green peppers, black olives, sausage and meatballs.

The order was timely and it smelled delicious! I wish I could stop here.

I did notice that the pizza seemed to be rushed. Friday evening so I'm assuming it was. Hopefully this isn't the norm.

The toppings weren't scattered evenly but semi clumped together in a few piles. The veggies weren't overly plentiful but they were cooked right, the meat was a different story. The meat was very dry and sparse.

I didn't feel it was worth the money spent.

I have no visual proof, but the crust didn't seem to be hand tossed and it was bland, even on the dry side. Sort of like a prepared crust from bread dough, but that's just a guess.

The sauce was good, probably the best part.

The cheese wasn't what I want on my pizza, it wasn't the chewy stretchy kind, and lacked the flavor for a good pizza cheese. Pretty basic.

I can't attest to the facility or the service as I've never been nor had any contact with them so no feedback on that.

I may try them again some other time but so far I'm not a huge fan of their pizza. For the price, I've found there's much better around the...
