Pharr Events Center — Attraction in Pharr

The actual performance of Stryper was awesome. Stage, sound, lighting all great. What I don't understand is why the City of Pharr doesn't hire a true professional to manage the venue, because I sure can't imagine that they currently have someone competent at the moment. We were in line for more than and hour waiting in line to get in. While in line we observed a guy who was wearing an employee badge constantly coming out and getting his buddies inside through some side doors. Then after finally making it inside we were told that if you paid for VIP tickets you needed to form another line inside to get your arm band to be let into the VIP section! Wow, can't you put the VIP arm band at the front door? I mean the people you had inside putting arm bands move them out to the front entrance and place the tables separate to one side so you don't delay the regular ticket buyer lines. Then once your all done with the entrance fiasco and you want some water, beer, or a snack you have 3 guys serving out of 1 concession stand! Yes 3 guys for thousands of people! I spent 1 hour in line to get 2 beers. By the time I got my beers and the entrance fiasco I missed the first act entirely. Pharr Events Center, if you don't have enough staff to adequately run a concert then you should not offer the service ! Let the other venues do it and stick to...

The Boggus Ford Event Center is one of a kind. One can find food, music, social events, and other things inside depending on what's being hosted. Their most iconic events are the Collectormanias which is basically cosplay contest with merchants selling their expensive yet awesome collectables! They have limited snacks ranging from Nachos all the way to Hotdogs. The parking is free and there is usually a fee for the entrance. We payed over $1000 for so called seated tickets for the Nicky Jam concert and turns out they weren’t. False advertisement, our tickets clearly say seated and they refused to let us through. We spoke with the owner and he told us we had to go outside and buy tickets all over again. Plus they were not asking anyone for their ID’s when it came to buying alcohol.
