This is our neighborhood family friendly farm. We always come here and try to support our local farm by purchasing eggs and produce from them.
This year we went to the sheep shearing for the first time. Which was today April 26, 2025. It was pouring rain outside and bleachers were set up to watch the sheep get their hair cut. We were asked to sit down so everyone could see. The bleachers are soaked and the rain is not stopping. So that was a little silly to be told to sit down on soaking wet bleachers. My 4 y/o went up to the gate to see the sheep getting its hair cut & was asked to sit on the soaking cold & wet ground. She did but got up fairly quickly since she was cold. She then was asked to move out of the way numerous times. Sheâs 4 & curious and sheâs not an 8foot giant standing there covering everyoneâs view. I thought this was ridiculous!! Then the crowd proceeded to ask âwhere her mother wasâ. I was watching her the entire time from the side with my 10month old. Holding an umbrella over his stroller so he didnât get soaking wet as well. Not to mention I paid for my 4 y/o and myself to walk in for this event. Needless to say I wonât be going back with my kids to this farm. How she was treated was unnecessary and the lady running the event needed to take the rain into consideration and the fact that sheâs a curious 4 year old. There was no need to single her out like that. She wasnât bothering anyone. And then for everyone to question my ability as a mother they can all go shove it up their you know what. Iâm beyond disappointed in Fox Chase Farms. I canât believe that they would treat a 4 year old like that. There was an entire crowd in front of me and I could still see the sheep getting its hair cut. The crowd chiming in asking where I was like I would just leave my child by herself needed to be asked to be quiet.
The weather was terrible for this event. With that being said it wasnât an ideal situation to hold the event in the first place so donât yell at my child for not wanting to sit on the soaking wet and...

They ground the wheat in front of you and used it to make the pancakes which were of course drizzled with maple syrup.
After living in the city so long it was refreshing to be outdoors exploring this farm and the animals...
Read moreTook the family here on Malple Syruping day and we had a great time. Plenty of free activities for the kids and a great rural environment to enjoy with our young kids. There was a demonstration on how to tap a tree for maple sap, free old fashioned pancakes, maple sugar candy, pine cone bird feeders, and others. Highly recommend this farm as a great family friendly and family oriented farm that you can take your kids to and enjoy an old fashioned farm and learn...
