I will now post this review on Google Reviews as Penn removed my review from their website to preserve their false perfect image. I need to offer my experience with this purchase and the poor customer service over multiple, unbelievable, phone calls. First was the picture of the product; I was in search of a pen that was deer-related and found the “Deer Hunter Bolt Action Antique Brass Pen Kit”. It looked perfect and reading the description sounded great, so I ordered with expedited shipping as it was a gift. I received the pen, but without the deer antler barrel, or I was rudely told it was NOT a barrel when I called customer service. She proceeded to educate me on HER term and confirmed we were talking about the same deer-antler piece. We got past that, and I explained that I was missing this and needed this soon as I initially ordered this via expedited shipping as I was leaving the country and giving this as a gift. She said she would send this out that day, and I asked if it would be overnight since I was leaving in three days. She said yes. The next day came and went and no replacement part. I called the following day and talked with someone else, trying to explain the situation in a calm manner and again was met with some hostility. I finally found out it was never shipped after being promised it would. I pleaded once more to please ship overnight. It did NOT ship overnight. I found the shipment once I returned home, and it still did not contain the deer-antler piece I was anticipating. I called the company and asked to speak with a manager. I was finally told that the deer antler was not part of the kit. Really? The first two, rude, customer service women couldn’t tell me that? Specifically, after I had a lengthy and uncomfortable conversation about the missing piece (which is apparently not called a barrel despite researching the internet and finding multiple resources calling it a barrel). And the website doesn’t do anyone any favors either. It should have some disclaimer that I need to go find a deer-antler on my own, cut it, and drill it out. I asked the manager about refunding my expedited shipping and she said she could not control how quickly I received the package, fair statement. However, when I provided the fact that I requested the barrel to be sent out overnight, TWICE, and wasn’t sent out until many days after, she still refused. I spent more money on shipping and return shipping than the pen was worth. Overall, an extremely...

Read moreEverything I've bought from them is top notch, but their technical service is understaffed and overworked, resulting in very poor customer support. Very poor. My lathe quit working three weeks ago, on a weekend. I had to wait until Monday to call them, but they were too busy to properly listen to my issues, but did give me advice to fix one of the problems I was having, but it didn't fix them all. I called back a couple of days later to get help with the remaining problems, but the one person who could help me was on vacation. I called back the following week, and he helped diagnose the problem and promised to send parts. Called back 10 days later to ask when the parts would be shipped, and he said they went out yesterday or this morning. Right. That was after not being able to find any record of our previous conversation. I like my lathe, but the support I'm getting from PSI is terrible. If the part they send next doesn't fix it, I'm junking this lathe and buying from a company with an actual tech service department, not just a tech service guy.
Update: I finally spoke with the tech service guy's manager, and my issue got straightened out right away. Nice guy, concerned about my problem, worked to get it resolved. My lathe is working perfectly now. I'd like to publicly upgrade my opinion to say by all means, buy from PSI, but don't take any guff from tech service. If you're not happy, ask for the supervisor. He'll get you...
