Great vibrant market filled with Lao, Khmer, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Thai vendors. It takes around 20 minutes to walk around to view each stall. You’ll see a lot of street food, clothing vendors, produce, fruits, and desserts.

Parking can be a hit or miss but many people just parallel park on the street side.

I highly recommend buying some of the Cambodian skewered meats from any one of the many vendors selling it. I ate a stuffed chicken wing ($5), beef skewers ($2), and pork sausage ($2). They were all cooked over an open charcoal grill that was delicious! The woman who helped us out reheated the meats over the open flame for us so it was piping hot.

The freshly squeezed sugar cane drink ($9 for a 32 oz) was equally delicious. It’s very refreshing!

There were so many things I tried and so many more I wanted to try. Fried items like shrimp egg roll and taro slices (1 for $1) was in addition to pad Thai made right in front of you ($15) was very popular with lines. There’s produce (I got some $5/lb rambutan and $10 jackfruit), plants, jewelry, and clothing vendors.

Overall, most of the things I ate here was delicious and I’m happy to support the...

Nice outing place while enjoying the park. Word of caution about salad or food prepared ahead. Got a stomach bug after eating salad and beef jerky. From then on, I only ordered food that cook in front of me. 😕. fried food or banana leave rice dessert is safe. Had sugar cane drink (very refreshing in summer time)but it could be better if less water dilute. Originally in Asia sugarcane drink is 100% sugarcane and ice with a tiny squeeze of fruit from lime family . No dilution . Just watch closely which vendor does the dilution next time you order. 🤨. Some even try to distract you with conversation as they carry this trick out. Other hidden the process behind stuffs but they can’t fool a seasoned drinker 😂. The park kept the vendors in check from dumping illegally with post signs. toileting in the bushes ( lack of better word). This park since then provided portable toilets . Over the years, the city of phila and recreation department has improved and worked out process for community, users, and park entity to co-exist. A step forward in the right direction. It’s a nice...

Today, I visited the market. The weather was a bit chilly but was good enough to hang out with family on Father's Day. They had a dj who was out there playing music. I love how diverse the song was. He was taking requests for a song you wanted to listen to. Very friendly, they should have this more often. He was saying there are rules and not sure they like him being there. I hope they appreciate his pop-up. He said he was doing this pop-up for fathers like him. It was planned but wasn't, he said due to weather conditions he wasn't sure that he was going to be there today. But he was. My kids were happy, and my friends were dancing with my kids. Didn't get his name. He also said board members or people who in charge may curse him out later or tell him he isn't allowed to be there anymore. I hope not. Not everyone will give up their time to be there. The food was great. I'm a bit confused with different vendors having their speaker going. A bit headache from that. But overall, it was a...

Been here many times. Prices have definitely gone up, but what hasn't? Parking is a hit or miss depending on the time and day. I would say that the food quality has definitely gone down. Food are sometimes cold unless they're physically cooking it in front of you. It's also about who you know. Waited in line for a papaya salad and the woman gave it to the other customer behind me simply because they were talking. With her gloved hand, she tasted the papaya salad then proceeded to place her hand back into the bowl for a second bite. I walked away. Thank you for tasting the food I ordered because that's exactly what I wanted - a splash of germs. They usually provide a spoon to taste. Either way, the market is home to many and has great food but it all depends on the day, time, and person making it.
