I've been going to Thunderbird Salvage since they were on 9th St and I've been thrilled to see one of my favorite places to shop expand! I never walk out empty handed and the prices are unbelievably good, often even better than Philly Aids Thrift for housewares/furniture/chachkis...which is really saying something. Some of my favorite finds have been vintage clothing, 1920s magazines, and antique books. That being said, keep in mind it's a salvage place. This is a gold mine for people who don't mind a bit of dust, digging around, and items that aren't always in pristine condition. They are probably reasonably priced considering most of the items are true vintage, unfortunately a little too steep for me but I could see vintage collectors and people who enjoy cool items in their house loving this store. Some of the furniture is really cool, and then others so worn down they'd need to be professionally repaired. In general a great store for small knick knacks, some furniture, lots of dishware, etc, just don't walk in for a good deal. I was also freezing the entire time, so also recommend stopping by when its nice outside! Also the workers didn't greet anyone or talk to any customers while I was there, so I'd maybe feel a little uncomfortable...
