Wynnefield Library — Attraction in Philadelphia

I love this library so much, I think my husband is a little jealous! The Free Library of Philadelphia is one of the most amazing resources in the city! It's easy to get books from any branch by putting things on hold. I do this regularly to save money (not buying books on Amazon) and explore new things before (sometimes) buying the books on Amazon anyway! The interlibrary loan program is also phenomenal. You can get ANY book from the network of libraries. I use this often when I am reading a book that mentions another book that I want to read. If that book isn't available from the free library, it's easy to get it through interlibrary loan! My kids enjoy visiting the library and especially like the collection of kids' dvds. They always have several pokémon dvds available. The kids also enjoy the selection of graphic novels in the children's department. My kids do miss the toys that were available precovid so hopefully those come back soon along with the fun events and story times. 2 stars because at least it’s a building smh Google said it’s open. Get there and there is a closed sign on the door. I called and asked are they open, the woman just said “no, there’s a delay” when I asked how long or are they opening today at all, she transferred me to a line where no one picked up. As a mom, I love this library! The children’s room is incredible - it’s big and in its own wing of the library. There are lots of toys, activities and great selection of books. Story time is top notch with songs, books and interactive props. The librarian that heads this up is fabulous and does such a great job getting the kids involved/keeping them engaged.
