Went for a free train ride and instead had to buy tickets labeled donations. Then, the Santa was really rude. When I told him he was being rude, he told me he wasn't because he allowed my kids to play while they waited for the train to arrive. He also said that he didn't care that he was rude. Lastly, every year they have model trains with cookies and hot chocolate after the train ride, but not this year. Also, half the lights on the train ride either weren't working or they didn't put them up. We have been coming here for 10 years and this was the worst ever. Super rude and very...

I went here last night with my family and enjoyed myself, EXCEPT for the santa they had. He was rude, didnt smile in ANY of the pictures we took. My nephew and his friend were just goofing around and the santa said rudely "your getting reindeer poop for Christmas." We asked if we could get a picture and he straight out said "NO! I HAVE A LINE!" What line was he talking about? The line of 5 people behind us??? Hope you guys find someone who actually LIKES doing their job instead of being grumpy. Wont be returning next year. Thank God it was free or else I would be asking for...

This is quite a place, especially if you have children, or are a kid at heart!!! Acres and acres, and I suspect several miles worth, of different rail routes that you can ride into the desert, with lots of little things to spot along the way . Miniature rideable trains criss-cross their way out into the desert and back for a wonderful journey that kids and adults alike will thoroughly enjoy. Afterwards, several scale model railroads are available for viewing. All in all, a GREAT...

Park visits and hiking are IN right now – but what other outdoor activities are there for the kiddos? Here’s a list of our top favorites! There are u-pick farms, opportunities to learn about local history, an outdoor museum, watching airplanes, and more! Always check with the business for the current hours and other info that may change frequently. 🌞Explore along the Salt River or Verde River. 🌞It’s a good time to camp in the desert! Set up a tent at local regional parks, or at various lakes. We have blog posts about camping on the blog! 🌞Spend time with animals in places like the @superstitionfarm_official , @desertmiragealpaca , @mothernaturesfarm , or @macdonaldsranch 🌞 @agritopiafarmoffers garden tours and yummy food. 🌞Learn about desert plants and life at @btarboretum or @dbgphx 🌞History comes alive at @goldfieldghosttown , @vulturecityghosttown or Pioneer Living History Museum. 🌞The @therailroadpark , Desert Breeze Railroad, and Freestone Railroad have train rides. Or have you been to the Adobe Mountain Train Museum? 🌞Watch airplanes at the Falcon Field Airport, Chandler Airport, Deer Valley Airport or Scottsdale Airport. There are also restaurants at all but Falcon Field. 🌞Citrus picking is available at @cottonlanecitrus, @hagen_farms and other places. 🌞Enjoy yummy food and more at Singh Farms . 🌞Take a family bike ride on the many bike paths around Phoenix 🌞Explore the wild with @4x4required_adventures

Family experience was great! Be prepared to use porta-potties though! 2 mobility challenged people in my party almost had an awful accident trying to find an accessible bathroom (& they almost didn't let my 85 year old Grandma use it!) Was straightened out, the rest of the day was wonderful. The kids (& adults) loved the train rides

This place is so fun!! I don't care how old you are, trains are amazing. The people that run it are kind and fun. They have fun little towns and other things set up along the train route. It's just a great place to go spend a Sunday afternoon. In my one photo, zoom to see the town. 😊
