I went to the location on 35ave and Encanto to buy goods for my sons bday party. I purchased 8 piggy banks and didnāt noticed two were broken till I got home. I returned right away to ask to exchange them. The manager in charge treated me like a liar. Automatically accused me of dropping the items. I tried to explain to her what happened but she raised her voice at me. She didnāt let me explain anything that had happen. I work for a retail company Safeway and we strive to give the best customer service and I tend to feel I deserve that same service when I shop other retails. I understand that the items were final sale after she yelled that at me. She says the cashier had notified me this already but I told her that the cashier didnāt even look up at me and said one word. I would have checked the items at check out if she would have said final sale. I wasnāt there to try and make a scene but I was definitely embarrassed because she kept raising her voice at me and customers were staring at me as if I was crazy. Then as I was leaving with my items and balloons she yelled again ā are you going to pay for those balloons!ā I couldnāt be more embarrassed. This lady shouldnāt be a manager. She doesnāt have no people skills what so ever. I didnāt get a chance to get her name because I walked out with so much anger. The cashier name was Heidi. Itās okay I can deal with my broken items but I wish you guys can take a little more time in training these ladies in customer service skills. Thatās not good for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm really happy I found this store (35th Ave). It has helped my business tremendously. The only negative side I would say is if you are a business, don't depend solely on this store in order to keep your business stocked. Be sure to have other options. If you go and see something you really need, if you can afford it, buy as much as you can. You are very likely not to find it the next time you visit, which is unfortunate. There are some items that I stocked my business with that I never see there anymore. If you ask the ladies at the register when they will have the item again, they will most likely not try to find out for you. There was only one instance where I was assisted with that. While im sure they have their reasons, it really doesn't help me. Other than that, it's a big store and they have lots of candy and party planning items. I bought a large roll of packing tape from there that i've been using for a couple months now. They have chamoy pickle kits, a nice variety of chips, and the candy that I have bought from them is always fresh,...
Read moreWhenever we had birthday parties we traveled to Nogales, Mexico to buy inexpensive candy at the dulcerias (candy shops) down there. I knew there were dulcerias in Phoenix, but my previous experiences were either very limited options or ridiculously high priced. One day, in preparation of my daughter's 4th birthday we decided to stop by Dulceria La Bonita just to check it out and see if we could find anything worth buying. That day we found our piñata, the candy bags and decorations, and plenty of candy of course. The prices were very comparable to what we would have spent driving to Nogales minus the 4 hour drive round trip. Ever since, whenever we need candy for a party we know we need to look no further than Dulceria La Bonita. Stop here first before you go anywhere else for candy, chips, decorations, and soft drinks. They have it all! Do be careful, though, as it is located in a rough area. But if you go during daylight and stay aware of your surroundings you should be fine. Definitely more safe than shopping for...
