01/09/21- $2 per adult to enter, kids under 5' tall are free (yes, that's very strange). Free parking. Some dingy carnival rides that aren't always operational. Grid layout of the booths. Food/drink booths throughout that feature a variety of fare. Also a couple of fruit/veggie booths & snack/candy booths plus wandering snack carts. Makeup, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, home/car/office stuff, it's all there. Everything from clothes & speakers to mattresses & pillowcase-sized bags of dried red peppers. Some great deals & some complete rip-offs. New, used & knock-off items abound. A lot of booths selling the same thing, so shop around before purchasing. My favorite unique booth is Desert Rat Games & Supplies: really the only gaming booth there (aside from video games); selling RPG items, console items, dice, collectable cards, gaming buttons, pins, wallets, etc. They're very LGBTQ+ friendly (the only outwardly one I noted) with different flag-colored buttons & pronoun buttons for sale. My family actually only goes to this swap meet for this booth, everything else we may purchase outside of this vendor (sunglasses, Iron Man action figure, caramel apple popcorn, whatever) is just a minor bonus. All in all the Phx Park 'n Swap is a fun place to spend a couple of hours, walking around, grabbing a gourmet lemonade & roasted corn on a stick while watching the Wonder Chopper demonstration. But remember to visit Desert Rat Games & Supplies (walk in, go through the rides area & turn left, keep walking down a few aisles & they'll be a corner booth on the left). 4 stars for the entire place (seeing the same products over & over gets boring), additional star for...
Read moreThis used to be the creme of the crop back in the day. My buddy and his dad nd I would come out every saturday back in the 90s and they had it all. Now it's the same 5 spots repeated over and over. Save you time and money 3 bucks to get in. If you are looking for Mexican decorations like the kind you find in border towns they sell to tourist you will love this place. If your looking for outdated fruits and strange questionable supplements you will love this place. If you are into buying those mystery boxes that people buy in bulk returns from Amazon you will love this place. If you want to buy returned or faulty hand and power tools you will love this place. If you want cheap poorly fitting screen print hats and t shirts you will love this place. I'm throwing in a bonus because you may be here on a weekend where you will see the crack head selling the last of they're possessions like a really used toaster for 5 bucks and some sneakers missing the soles or stained shirts and underwear. I prefer Mesa swap mart I think all the good vendors left here and went to mesa. Try both yourself and tell...
Read moreYears ago this was a great place to find, sell, or swap just about anything. If you were looking for something and it wasn't there that particular week you'd more than likely find it the next couple of weeks. Now though it is full of people selling the same ol' stuff as the next guy and they all are selling new junk manufactured in Malaysia or Taiwan! I was just there, 9 booths selling the same kind of hats, 12 booths with the exact same t-shirts, and so on! But the Fry Bread place is still there serving up Really Good Grub! I suppose it may be worth a look if you never went to the old one years ago. The one in Mesa is supposed to be better. I'll have to give it a look see some time... Absolutely No Swappin' going on here though. Strictly Cash. Kinda like those knock off 99cent stores where everything is priced at much more than it's worth. But I did get a Cheapo Hat for 15 bucks that I just saw at a retail store for 40 bucks, so that's cool. Trying to post a...
