Man I love this place! And so does my 4 year old! Yes it's off the main strip but so worth the drive! You can plan to spend about a half hour to an hour here easily.

So first off there's a huge gift shop! And there's an upstairs as well! I highly suggest going upstairs, mainly because there are windows that you can look out to see the goats on the roof (yes the name of the place is legit)! There's tons of local items and outside has wooden signs and metalwork garden items. There's also a little ice cream shop in the back!

Next you can go to the front counter and buy goat food. I recommend the souvenir cup. You can bring it back same day or another trip for a refill price of just 99 cents. The cups once washed are also excellent sippy cups with a lid and straw for toddlers! You then go outside along the 2 sides fence to hand fees the goats or there are 2 bicycles set up where you can dump some food in a cup and peddle to bring it up to the goats that are on top of the building! They take a little oomph to get going, and they're adult sized so younger kids will have a hard time, but they're fun!

Then if you continue outside to the right of the building there's a window to purchase tickets to do their mountain coaster. This is a fun electric one where you can fit 2 people on a car so the kids can ride with an adult. I believe the height limit is 38 inches? Not 100 % sure but I know my kid was 42" and was well above the height line. And my 4 year old absolutely loves it! You control it by pushing down on the handles to your side to go and pulling up to brake. But on the faster parts it does have automatic braking so there's no risk of going to fast and flying off. The ride up is long and you can take in the scenery of the area while it automatically pulls you up. There aren't too many big drop hills but it does have some good turns. It can get pretty fast, especially if you're a bigger person and have some weight in the vehicle. If you really want to go fast, and there's people ahead of you, you can ask them to wait if there's not a long line, and the staff will normally accommodate you. They're fun. You can't take anything with you like your goat cups, so you can put them in your car, or they'll hold them at the front for you. They also have souvenir photos if you want to buy one at the end. Price is normally $10 a person, including the kids. It's totally worth it in my families opinion. We've done this attraction probably 3-4 times, and would definitely...

So we’ve never done an alpine coaster, so nothing to compare it to. The price is $12 per person, not per ride which I thought was a little bit of a racket. If I have a kid who wants to ride but isn’t quite tall enough to drive himself, I shouldn’t be charged to ride a car that is already going up the mountain. Or if I want to ride with my significant other, why should we both pay for the car? The photo opportunity was nice, and not too pricey at $10.

Feeding the goats is always fun, but the bicycle tracks to feed the goats on top of the roof need to be replaced. They are so slow and rickety. The price to feed them, however, is great at only $3 a cup. The goats are VERY well fed.

The golf course is very well-taken care of and the dinosaurs are movement activated so they’re always roaring. However, like others have mentioned, don’t go expecting an actual golfing experience. On most holes, it doesn’t matter where you hit it, all the balls end up in the same place. You can do a deal for $12 but that seems a little pricey for the “bells and whistles” that are there.

The gem mining was my least favorite. They offer a discount per bucket if you use your alpine coaster ticket. When I presented that, she said “yes, got it.” Then she charged me full price. I questioned her before I ran my card and she said “Taxes are applied. You got discount.” I asked for a printed receipt and surprise, no discount. I was done dealing with it, so just left. The buckets of sand are huge and everyone walks away with big chunks of stones. However, no one is knowledgeable about what we were finding or helpful at all, really. There were no “small pieces” of nicer rocks like sapphires or garnets, but we got some really big beautiful chunks of quartz. One surprise was each kid got an arrowhead. I’ve definitely been to better mining places.

The gift shop was jam packed with almost anything you could want, junk wise. The people, for the most part, were friendly. It definitely wasn’t the place I was expecting after reading the reviews but we got to do all the things on our list in one stop. I wish they’d offer a package where you could get all of the items for a discounted price, which would make it more appealing. Overall, a think a 3 star is generous but I don’t think...

Weird experience but possibly the time. I arrived around 9:40 pm so I will be generous with my review. A few people were all over the store cleaning up as they close at 11. One lady about tripped me twice but especially the last time where I stumbled as she came to the isle I was in with a large broom and got under my feet which was kind of rude and no one seemed happy with their job. They were probably exhausted and I have no clue the pressure their boss has on them so I am not going to judge but it was weird and a weird vibe. One young employee was outside near the goats but was on his phone towards the bar stools and I don't know if he even saw us. I also went to the coaster area where some people had just gotten off and the man was chatting with them. I was going to ask questions but took pictures of my son instead as he was too busy, never acknowledged us. No one ever acknowledged us. It was all kind of strange if I'm being honest.. I purchased $60 in souvenirs and the cashier was pretty nice. I wanted to do the coaster with my son at night but maybe it was too late for them. I'll try to go here a little earlier in the day next time if I decide to return. FIY, the gift shop had a lot of cool odd and ends and souvenirs. They have some things I haven't seen anywhere else which is nice. I have a big collection of everything so I didn't need much lol but I grabbed a pair of eagle claws (oddities) porcelain (?) cat figurines, a turtle figurine, my son a wallet and some candy. I wanted to grab some fudge but didn't want to bother anyone as they were all so busy and wasn't sure if they even had anyone to sell it. I recommend coming before 8-9 because this was a...

Wooohooooo! Super-fast fun! We rode the Smoky Mountain coaster as well—Goats on the Roof was faster (even with the auto-breaking for photo-ops) and therefore, more fun. Staff were friendly and cool, but not super-professional. No wait time on a Thursday afternoon. I was sorely disappointed by the person in front of us who was too scared to let off the breaks though. He was breaking around the corkscrew turn, which caused my husband’s cart to auto-break in front of my cart, which then caused my cart to auto-break, which caused both of our carts to come to a complete stop in the middle of the corkscrew turn…with other carts quickly approaching behind us. We both had to put our feet out and push the carts to get them moving again. Pretty scary. People who are thinking about riding this coaster: if you are too scared to go 30 mph downhill in an open-air cart on a metal track—do not come to ride this coaster and ruin the experience for everyone else. This is not meant to be a leisurely sight-seeing paddle-boat ride. Also, if your small child starts crying when he or she looks up at the big scary-high track with the scary-fast carts, do not force that poor kid to get on this ride. In spite of the slow rider in front of us and the panicking small child, the track was so fast and fun that we still really enjoyed the ride. The goats are adorable. Pro tip: if you don’t plan on using the breaks and you want to go as fast as possible—ask the ride attendant if they can give you extra space behind the person in front of you to hopefully avoid catching up to anyone too scared to go fast.

Great fun for all ages! Yes, there are goats on the roof. There are also goats in a petting area! You can buy chow ($3/cup) to feed the goats. Feeding the goats in the perting area is simpler. Feeding the goats on the roof requires pedaling a makeshift bike contraption to carry the food up to them. Fun idea, but the seat is hard, and it's painful. There's a mountain coaster where you control the speed yourself! ($12/adult) There are many turns on the coaster, and the total ride down is long enough to be fun! They take your pictures and clock the speed you're going down! There's miniature golf. ($15/ adult for 18 holes) The course is decorated with dinosaurs of all sizes that are animated. The gift shop is massive with a strong selection of t-shirts, toys, goat and bear items, and more! Only complaint it that they don't carry 'Goats on the Roof' pins!
