The Goat Coaster takes you up what feels like high in the mountains in a little individual coaster on a track. You get to control the speed to slow down or go faster. I'm sure it's not that much different than the other nearby mountain coasters. It did seem less crowded than others we drove by. And, as the name implies, there are actual goats on the roof! For those that are afraid of heights, you are never that far off the actual ground, but If you were to derail I am sure it would still hurt! Haha. Fortunately, I wasn't worried about any of that. I felt safe and I would definitely do it again! My husband and kids would, too! Under 54 inches, kids have to ride with an adult. You can't take any loose belongings with you. No cell phones, etc. They also have a souvenir shop. And you can feed goats, for a small fee. It was a fun experience for our fam!

My family had an absolute blast at Goats on the Roof! We had so much fun, in fact, we returned for a second visit during our stay in the smokies, just to ride the goat coaster again. It's a fantastic place to take your kids where they can feed the goats by pedaling the food up to the roof, collect all kinds of fancy rocks and minerals at the gem mine that is on-site, and browse all kind of cool gifts and souvenirs to take home from the gift shop. If you get thirsty or hungry they have all kinds of coffee drinks and fudge. We tried several different flavors of fudge, but our favorite was the bear poop. All of the staff are super friendly, especially Nathan and Ricky who helped us get our fudge. Ricky showed my kids pictures of the bear he tracked to collect enough poop for the fudge! Don't let the name fool you, it's good stuff!!!

Such a good time for kids and adults. Even my 66 year old mom rode the coaster. We took a large group from ages 3 to 66 and everyone was so happy. You can feed the goats, play putt putt, and ride the coaster. They track your top speed so it becomes a fun competition. The putt putt is a bit wonky with hills and slants so you better have a great putting skill but it was still fun. I could have rode the coaster a dozen times. The prices were very reasonable and the people who work there were nice. Bathroom was clean and they have a really cool gift shop. We will be going back. Coaster is only $12 a ride. We did day ride and night ride. Both were great.

So much fun! You can buy goat feed for under $4 and it comes in a suvouiner cup and you can get a refill for $1. You can go up to the fence and feed the goats or you can put goat food in this cup which is on a chain and you sit and paddle this stationary bike which brings the cup up to the roof (see video) where the goats are waiting for the food! 🐐 There's also a really fun alpine coaster which was $12 / person and you can speed it up or slow it down. There is also a very stuffed gift shop with lots of stuff, it's pretty crowed but has a good selections. Pretty fun! Not an all day activity, we were there for like an hour, but it was fun!

The staff here have been amazing, the store has a wide variety of items to browse. The mountain coaster is my son’s new favorite thing, and it’s only $12 plus tax. The gem mining is nicely set up as well, it’s a per bucket situation - 1 bucket = $15 or get 2 buckets for $20. Cash is king here, there is a discount for using cash. Feeding the goats is also fun, I don’t remember the cost for the first cup but it’s like $1 per cup for refills. Jerry clower is played over the speaker system to keep you entertained. They have a new putt putt but we didn’t get to try that on our visit due to the rain.

Loved this ride! Super fun!! You can also pay $3 for a can of food and use a bicycle to move it up to the roof and watch the goats eating (yes they are literally on the roofs!) They said they had a special going where the Mountain Coaster was $12 per person (per ride) so that was a little cheaper than some of the others around, and one of our favorites) so I’d say it was well worth it! If your paying with card you can use the super quick kiosk yourself and I believe get through quicker! It wasn’t really busy so we got on the ride in probably less than 5 mins!
