Snapper Creek Park is named after the 4 mile long Snapper Creek that runs through the suburbs of Kendall and Coral Gables. It drains out of the Everglades into Biscayne Bay at Biscayne National Park. The park is across the street from a distributary channel off the creek. Snapper Creek is a dog friendly park so feel free to bring your well behaved canine friends. There is a large open field for running and playing and paved walkways for strolling. The park is also kid friendly with an adequate shade covered playground with climbing structures and slides. The large trees provide shade and natural beauty in the park. While the park doesn't have a lot of amenities beyond the playground and benches it is still a welcome respite of nature and recreation in the neighborhood.

Everytime I go to this park is so nice and calm. It's on the small side but always so quiet and peaceful, even on Sunday when people don't have work. Mostly people walking their dogs. It's also in a quiet neighborhood just a few cars here and there. There's a playground for kids, on the small side as well but still nice.

Love this park. Clean and Peaceful. The Playground it’s cover so it’s on the shade. My toddlers had a lot of fun. Huge field grass area. Dogs are allow it’s great. I didn’t see no animals ( squirrels, ducks or lizards). There’s no bathroom.

Currently, the playground pictured is aggressively bound up with caution tape - every little bit of it. 😡 Even though I've rarely seen more than 1 or 2 families of kids use this playground at a time, here is the overabundance of caution, when it comes to Covid. Also, there is now a County employee stationed at the park, dawn to dusk. This poor soul seems to have the single task of policing everyone who enters the park - and stops for a moment - to tell them to leave if they're not wearing a mask. A lovely older gentleman who does Tai Chi in the morning while alone in the park now wears a mask - I asked him why, given that he was a good 12 ft from the walking path, he said the attendant threatened to kick him out. Sigh. Instead of paying for a 'Park Cop', why can't the County apply a spray sanitizer to the playground daily, and allow residents to exercise their own common sense? Also, FYI: there is no restroom or even porta-potty...
