Currently, the playground pictured is aggressively bound up with caution tape - every little bit of it. 😡 Even though I've rarely seen more than 1 or 2 families of kids use this playground at a time, here is the overabundance of caution, when it comes to Covid. Also, there is now a County employee stationed at the park, dawn to dusk. This poor soul seems to have the single task of policing everyone who enters the park - and stops for a moment - to tell them to leave if they're not wearing a mask. A lovely older gentleman who does Tai Chi in the morning while alone in the park now wears a mask - I asked him why, given that he was a good 12 ft from the walking path, he said the attendant threatened to kick him out. Sigh. Instead of paying for a 'Park Cop', why can't the County apply a spray sanitizer to the playground daily, and allow residents to exercise their own common sense? Snapper Creek is a dog friendly park so feel free to bring your well behaved canine friends. There is a large open field for running and playing and paved walkways for strolling. The park is also kid friendly with an adequate shade covered playground with climbing structures and slides. The large trees provide shade and natural beauty in the park.
