Not a place to study, do homework, or read quietly. Parents sit with their kids in the adult section and treat it like a lobby because of the passport office in the building. Kids are blabbering about playing with chairs as parents indulge them. Strangers having full blown conversations from across their tables 2 tables away from someone clearly trying to study or read. I have seen readers get upset slam their book and leave. I have had to do the same many times.
I am dissapointed that the staff does not direct these families to sit in the childrens section on the other side or tell them to keep it down. They scream and stomp their feet on the couches and run all over the places but some parents aren't holding back their kids at all (I'm also a mom of four kids and do understand how they behave). The parents seem to think it's a playground, not a library. That is the only reason I don't want to go there. The children's section should be for all ages, not only for toddlers or preschoolers.
But there's no doubt about nice staffs, lots of children's books, and clean library...
