Went here for the chilaquiles plate. Chilaquiles is a Mexican dish for those who do not know, are fried corn tortilla chips and cooked in either red or green chile sauce topped with cheese and Mexican Crema (sour cream sauce). Usually served with over easy eggs or eggs scrambled and incorporated into the dish for breakfast.
I went wth the red sauce. The texture was perfect. I like to have a little crunch when I take a bite. Sometimes the chips can get softened when cooked in the sauce too long. Not the case here though!
These were cooked just right with that perfect crispy crunch in every bite. The over-easy eggs added a layer of flavor. With that warm soft centered broken yoke oozing and mixing into every delicious morsel.
The refried beans were perfect. The rice was flavorful, light, fluffy and on point. The house salsa has fresh chunks of tasty avocado in it and is very delicious on the chips served when seated. See photos.
My wife opted for the mashed potato filled hard shell tacos. She really enjoyed them as well. She's not a real big meat eater so this was a perfect choice.
Bold flavors, authentic recipes, visually stunning colors on every plate, plus the great friendly staff makes this all worth it! Be sure to try their thick hand made tortillas too!

Read moreFirst time, last time. Ordered an Albondigas soup and a soda. When I finally received my food. I started to eat my rice and what do I see crawling towards my feet? A Roach the size of my hand! No exaggeration. It was definitely comfortable in its environment. Called the gal over who took my order and ask her if she would take care of it. She did. This monster crawled in-front of another couple seated and it seemed if only the male saw the roach, but nothing was said from them. They continued to wait for their food. I walk up to the cash register and ask for my money back. Gal give me the money. I ask is this everything? She simply states it’s for my soup only. She goes on to ask did you want it for your soda that you drank too? I respond with “Yes, this is discussing!” I have never been anywhere and had this happen. She was claim and cooperative, but roaches crawl everywhere and on everything. So, yes I wanted all my money back because I easily trusted that they ran a clean restaurant. Obviously, I did not want to eat around roaches. So, of course I am not going there again. I hope they get this taken care of before people get sick. Just research your eatery before choosing...
