This seems to be a good preserve for bird photography. It has separate bird watching tower area that provides excellent view for migratory birds photography. I visited this place on Sunday and the gate was closed. Check with visitor center by calling in advance. That will save time if you are planning to visit specifically for photography. On the website it’s not talked about so just fyi for those wanting to go. March 1-August 15 it is closed. The other trails are open.
