When we got there we noticed that there was a lot of people but still sat down. There was a long line of carry out orders so one woman was busy taking them. However, we spent 15 minutes just to get chips and salsa. The guy that gave us the chips looked like he didnt even work there because he had on clothes that looked like he worked in contruction. However, not complaining cause he was the only nice one there that actually apologized for eveything being backed up. We spent the next ten minutes waiting for someone to even come over and check on us or say that someone will take our order shortly. I got up cause I realized that the take out order line was getting their food faster than we were even being acknowledged until a woman that worked there saw me get up and told me she would take our order shortly. She then finally took our order and so we waited. We waited for about 40 minutes. What made me mad was not the wait time, but the fact that people that came in after us and sat down were being served first before us and they were the same amount of people in our party or more. Anyways, while one of the women that worked there walked by, not even checking on the other tables to see if they needed anything, I politely asked if she could check on our food to see if it was almost coming because we have been waiting for an hour. She said that she knew we hadn't been waiting for an hour. After maybe another ten minutes she comes back with our food and I had checked my life360 to see how long we had been there and we had in fact been waiting for and hour and ten minutes. I tell her this and that I have proof but all she says is that we shouldn't say that because it scares away customers when they hear something like that. We quickly eat our food, pay, and leave. Overall, this restaurant has good food, but it's customer service is horrible. Each time I come its like this and the only reason I keep coming back is because their food tastes good. We recieved no apology besides the one guy who had given us our chips and salsa. I left no tip and would recommend just getting takeout to not deal with their attitude.
Editing this after more bad experiences: We have gotten take out multiple times and have ordered ahead. Every time they tell us it will be ready within 25-30 minutes and we're at the restaurant after the time has passed. The food somehow never seems to be ready. When we get there they hadn't even made a single item. We had to wait another 30 minutes for them to be done. The Food is great but when you order with "everything" on it they cut back on the meat and it only seems to be an issue when ordering torta's! I Just ordered 4 torta's two of them had alot of steak and the other 2 had almost none! The tacos and burritos are always perfect i dont know why they do this with the torta's. I called to tell them and they did offer to replace them but this shouldn't be happening in the first place! I live in Romeoville and im not driving back and forth but when your sitting down trying to eat dinner with your family and this happens it's pretty disappointing. Food is expensive and I spent over $60 on 4 torta's and 3 tacos and i always tip! we should be getting what we pay for. I really hate to leave a bad review cause the food is good and the staff is always nice which is why I drive out of my way to buy my food here but this has happened too many times and I'm not tolerating it anymore. Ive had 2 major issues with this place, and its very unfortunate because I LOVE TACOS! 1. Called in my order earlier this year(very common for my coworkers & I). Order 10 tacos, got there and she charged me for 2. I informed her I order 10 she said she heard 2 and asked if I was gonna pay for my 2. I said I wanted and ordered 10, she proceeded to inform me that I would have to wait and go behind the 10-12 orders currently had. I was upset, purchased my 2 and left vowed to never return. Well today I did seeing that they are right up the street from my crew hotel, ordered 6 steak tacos. I go in and its Monday so $1.15 tacos AWESOME. NOPE, my order was $9+, I quickly said its monday and you have a sign that says 1.15 tacos monday & Tuesday clear as day on both the inside and outside. She says not for steak. Been at this hotel for 3yrs with work, I go 2-3× a week and use to eat tacos every M or T if i was there. I HAVE ONLY ORDERED STEAK! This is a 1st for me...
