Oh my God the hype the hype the hype. Look like so much fun drove around at three times just in participating being able to get into it and swim around the lazy River just float around at leisurely. Lifeguards blew their whistle at me a total of four times before I even completely submerged in the water the first time. I guess the fourth time was when I was getting back into the water and they blew the whistle to get me to not enter the pool the way that I had been entering the pool the whole time I was there. My niece not being a resident there and telling them she was not a resident they're paid $11 I have been living in Plainfield since March and March so they gave me the resident rate of $7. I bought a lock a padlock to take with me got there and found out it took quarters in order to operate the locks on it and that they had the lock and the key the first one was jammed and the quarter was visible the second one the quarter dropped but we couldn't get the key to come out of the lock after we paid for the for the the lock and the locker. By this time it sent me into tears because I was exhausted from the heat because it was 90°. Trying to walk a long way around to the pool that after I got cooled off and made the walk it wasn't near as long as when I first entered the pool. As we were trying to leave I wanted to go to the bathroom only for there to be a line all the way out the door. The only thing I can say is I can't believe the entire Town of Plainfield was off on a Tuesday. Because it's in the rules you have to be accompanied by an adult to swim there. It would be a really fun place to to cool off and to use except the locals will tell you that that's their pool and was built for them though it's built like it's an island it's built like an advertised to be and is actually one step down from a water park and priced as. When I think that we spent $18 on that and though it was something that was fun for us to do when I spent think that we spent $18 total between the two of us on it I stopped and got sunscreen because I didn't want to be out in it I spent another $7 on it on that and actually wanted a $9 bottle of suntan lotion but settled for a $7 because I bought a lock and the lock was $3.50 which is returnable thank heavens but I've cut the bag open and the package open we like to never found it in the store just one thing after another I had to ask for them to price the suntan lotion because they weren't priced on the shelf I had no idea which bottle to get because they were all marked as if they were all $8 and I regretted and not stopping at the five below store or the everything for dollar store to get suntan screen or sunscreen. All in all I'd probably like to give this better a two or three and had it gone smoothly I would have given it a 10 easily just because it's beautiful the water is refreshing everything else is good about it that it's the people that made it it...
Read moreWould give this place 0 stars if it were an option. Drove 2 hours to come and visit this place. Walked in at 3pm paid $48 for 2 adults and 1 child. We got in we’re sitting our things down had not even gotten in the water yet and the lifeguards blew their whistle it was 3:30 saying there were thunderstorms coming and we were going to wait it out to see if it passes. So Everyone maybe 200-300 people went and sat under an awning till 5:30 still waiting it out. It had stopped raining at 4:30 but they kept saying there might be more coming. So at 5:30 they said they will wait 30 more minutes then decide if they will close or not. We decided we couldn’t wait any longer it had been 2 hours with hundreds of people all crowded together just waiting. The lifeguards were also around being ridiculous yelling dancing cursing around children during this 2 hour wait. When we decided to leave we asked about a refund or day passes they said absolutely not it’s not their policy to do that. I explained we had not even gotten in the water yet I could understand if we had already swam for an hour or 2 but we had JUST SAT OUR THINGS DOWN. So of course I was super upset and left. I called a few hours later to speak with a supervisor he then tried to say we got there at 3 and they didn’t call the incoming weather till 5:30 so he wasn’t going to give me a refund. I said well sir you really don’t know what’s going on do you because you should probably ask what time the incoming weather was called that is absolutely not correct. He then put me on hold came back and said oh your right it was called at 3:30 but still can’t do anything for you basically it’s not my problem type of attitude. So this place made almost $50 from us for literally nothing plus the gas to drive the 2 hours and then having to pay more money to find something we could do while on the trip. They don’t care about the guests they don’t care about customer service every single person I spoke to were rude and condescending, if you don’t like your job you should probably find a different one not working with the public. I specifically asked him if you were in my position wouldn’t you be upset? He said no I wouldn’t because I wouldn’t have drove 2 hours without looking at the weather. Which I did look and it showed scattered storms but none hitting Plainfield but that’s just how rude and what his attitude was like. We will...

We were in from out of town (2 adults and 1 child) and we decided to visit on a Friday afternoon. After arriving we got to the ticket line and had to wait a good 20+ minutes to pay to get in (around $45 for 2 adults and a child). They needed ID, luckily, I had it on me and did not choose to leave it in the car or I would have had to go back and start the wait over again, I had to create an account for us even though it was a single visit. This was one of the slowest ticket lines I have seen.
Once inside we found a spot near the lazy river and decided to start there. There was a huge pile of tubes and we went to get some and were told they were the ones with leaks and they could not be used. There was no one repairing the tubes and at least half the tubes were in the damaged pile. We had to go and wait for someone to decide to get out. At that point there was the “fight for a tube” and I watched sever kids get tubes and then proceed to “float” over top of smaller children waiting with complete disregard to them, the lifeguards did nothing to control this, express concern, or attempt to make the process any better.
We then moved to other areas to find out that every hour on the top of the hour, they kick everyone out of the pool for 15 minutes for a “break”. No attempt to rotate guards and remain open, just get out of the water till we let you back in. No exceptions.
Then the rain appeared in the area (see photo), moving away from the water park. It did not rain at the site, but they still kicked everyone out of not only the pool, but the pool deck area. You could not sit and wait; you had to completely leave the area. We were told it would be at least 30 minutes before they reevaluate the decision.
At this time, we had paid around $45 to have an hour and a half of swim time, an hour of “waiting” and to be told there was no designated time to reopen for storms that were not even “in the area”.
My advice, Go...
