Today I went to this supermarket to return the chapattis pack as it went bad after 3 days of buying. The rotis had the label of the store as well but It had no expiration date and no manufacturing date. The pack was untouched and unopened. When I went to return, the cashier named Shalini was so rude, arrogant and misbehaved with me. When I asked her to return, she says please give us a receipt and when I didn’t have the receipt she was like no we cannot return it while I told her that we bought it just couple days back. And on that she started giving us tantrums and said no I cannot do it. I cannot return it. when I was even giving her my debit card to check the last four digits of the transaction. When I told her to call the manager, she said the manager cannot do anything. It’s just the same way what I can do. She was saying the manager and Shalini has the same powers when they both have the same powers. I don’t understand why there is a manager in the store. But the other lady was nice enough to help me out and she processed my refund. I also wanted to buy the entire grocery for the month but because of the rude behavior, I wasn’t able to buy it so I had to go to a different store named Patidar which was around 6-7 miles away, but I still had to go there as she misbehaved with us, there was no choice...

They deleted my review!! I have a RIGHT to post a review about a place and their business practice. Since it was deleted from here before, I will post it on yelp too.

Never ever go here!!! I just called right now to ask them how much a Maggi packet is (because I only have $2 cash, and they don’t accept card for purchases under $10) and the lady told me in Hindi, very rudely if I may add, that they don’t tell the prices over the phone and we have to come in to find out the prices! It is 20 degrees right now, and they want me to come in to find out the price??? How unprofessional and very poor customer service. I called Paatidar and Patel’s who told me prices for all their sizes of Maggi and were so accommodating to my request. So guess what? Although I am in the Plainsboro area, that is where I took my business! This is TYPICAL of this place. If you are going to sell expired foods and shoddy vegetables that are overpriced, at least provide good customer service. Don’t go here if you want good...

My favorite place to go for Indian groceries is Big Bazaar in Plainsboro. It’s more than just a grocery store for me; it’s a feeling of being in my own country, surrounded by my people.

I’m someone who generally doesn’t like shopping at all. Being a lady, I can’t avoid it, though. While I can order most things online, buying groceries is something that requires stepping into a store. Despite my usual reluctance, I don’t hesitate to visit this new Big Bazaar in Plainsboro, even for small things or just a couple of items.

At Big Bazaar, I feel like I’m at home in India. From the cashier to the owner, everyone is so welcoming. The store offers discounted fresh groceries, delicious home-cooked food, and it’s always neat and spacious. No matter what I say, it feels like it’s not enough to express how much I...

Big Bazaar Farmers Market (BAZ) takes up the premises of the old Asian Food Market (and Stop 'n Shop before that). The store prominently features Indian products that constitute about 90% of BAZ assortment. It also looks like the store specializes in South Indian food. Perhaps, due to vegetarian considerations, BAZ doesn't offer meat, poultry, or fish/seafood products. There are very extensive varieties of Indian snacks, sauces, chutneys, condiments, infinite sorts of rice, Indian breads (nans, parathas, kulchas; all frozen and requiring 2-minutes pan preparation), custard powder, juices and non-alcoholic beverages, diary products and fresh fruits and vegetables, including exotic varieties, as well as health and beauty products, mostly ethnic. The service is quick and efficient.

I purchased mango box from Big Bazaar Farmers Market on Day before at 730pm: when I cut the mango after 36 hrs and each and every mango is rotten. I called the store to complain and I was told, “if you bought $45 mango box then we can do something about it”. I paid $14.99 for the box so there is no value for my money and the store does not want to entertain my complaint. I also wanted to eat batatavada and there were only two left so I asked the girl working in cooking area and asked if she is bringing any fresh one. She took a bowl and put in microwave and was going to give me fresh!! Batatavada! I do not recommend this store. One of the owner tried to contact me. I spoke to him and he gave me another box from different brand and it was great. Thank you

Today I bought white dhokla from the food section. While eating I found 2 big stapler pins in them. Please ask your employees specifically working on the food section to check the food item while packing. This could be very serious if it was accidentally consumed. Never gonna buy any ready to eat items from the food counter.
