Paso Nogal Park — Attraction in Pleasant Hill

We have a large golden doodle that we take to dog parks where they can run off leash. This dog park on Paso Nogal is fantastic! Very large area for big dogs, some shade trees but not too many. Pretty level in most spots with well kept grass. Our dog Stella can't wait to get out and run at top speed. She loves getting the others to run with her... Most owners are really nice and do a good job managing their dog. There are several dog watering fountains around the park, and a great paw washing area near the entry gate with hoses. I'd give it 5 stars except for some reason they decide to turn the sprinklers on early Saturday mornings, which can leave some areas muddy. Our dog is all white, so....bring a spare towel to clean off their paws is my recommendation. Great park...

This place is great. It's tucked away in a residential area instead of a busy main road, and the large dog area is very spacious and grassy. The small dog area is always calm, and there's even a social scene going on where owners bring lawn chairs and talk with each other which is super sweet! Tons of cute dogs (duh)! The hiking trails are great and kick my super out of shape booty.

My only issues are the owners who don't pick up after their dogs, the owners who allow their dog to mount/hump another dog, the off leash dogs who area unfriendly and borderline aggressive on the hiking trails, and the fact that it's a tiny parking lot that gets...

It is one if the better dog park for sure. It has a huge running area for the dogs to be together off leash fenced. Or you can take them up the hill to the top of Paso Nogal and check out the great view. It a nice little walk not hard at all easy wide path you can wind around or go strait up. Lot of watering places witch some dog park don't think much of. So you should definitely check this place out for your dogs sake. He will love you for it. Only thing lock your car. Good neighborhood but I think they had an incident or two while back. That was a long time ago. So just be safe...
