Outstanding Dining Experience at a Family-Owned Japanese Restaurant!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this delightful Japanese restaurant in Pleasant hill and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I highly recommend it to fellow food enthusiasts seeking authentic Japanese cuisine and warm, family-oriented service.
First and foremost, the food was superb. We indulged in a variety of delectable dishes, including the Beef Teriyaki, Fried Calamari, Golden California Roll, and the Bay Bridge Roll. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with flavors that truly transported us to Japan. The Beef Teriyaki was tender and bursting with savory goodness, while the Fried Calamari had a delightful crispness that left us craving for more. The sushi rolls, including the Golden California and the Bay Bridge Roll, were beautifully presented and filled with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It was evident that the chefs and servers take great pride in their craft.
What truly set this restaurant apart was the excellent service. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff, I think consisted of the family members and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. It was heartwarming to witness the dedication of the entire family in making our visit enjoyable.
Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant was delightful. The beautiful and well-maintained furniture added a touch of elegance to the dining space. The cleanliness was impeccable, reflecting the high standards upheld by the establishment. It truly enhanced the overall dining experience, making us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our meal.
In conclusion, this family-owned Japanese restaurant deserves the highest praise. With its outstanding food, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere, it offers an unparalleled dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend trying their Beef Teriyaki, Fried Calamari, and their exquisite sushi rolls. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute gem. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights!

Read moreI just got back from dinner with my family. I was blown away by the service and wanted to write this review while my thoughts were as fresh as the fish I just ate.
We ordered the 15 piece sashimi chefs choice, 3 sushi rolls, hamachi kama, chicken karage, and the soft shell crab for 5 people. We ate so much that I didn't make enough room for the tempura matcha ice cream w/ banana I was eyeing on the dessert menu. I must come back for that!
I loved the presentation of the 15 piece chefs choice sashimi. I wasn't sure what to expect but it reminded me of the individually boxed omakase at other restaurants. I was impressed. The quality of the fish was fresh and the presentation was 10/10.
The rolls average about $15 which is reasonable with inflation these days. They are not the type of restaurant that load their rolls up with rice for the carb conscious eaters out there. The rice to ingredient/filling ratio was perfect. We ordered the monkey, bay bridge, and the popular okini roll.
The softshell crab was a crowd pleaser and I think we should have ordered two. The hamachi kama was a bit dry for my taste but the flavor was on point. The chicken karage was not fried to a golden perfection, but it was so moist and I couldn't stop eating it. It was paired with a delicious spicy aioli.
The restaurant has been opened at it's new location for only 2 weeks and I gotta say the service was attentive, friendly and impeccable. I swear you will not get this level of service at any Japanese restaurant! Maybe it's because not everyone and their mother's know about this location yet. We will enjoy it while we can! Many patrons were picking up their take out orders and they are missing out of the dine in experience. I look forward to coming back with my neighbors to sample more of the menu.
Tips: Easy parking in the lot. Nice selection of wine,...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences we have encountered recently.
It started with 20 minutes after taking our order, we still had to ask them for water and our drinks. It seemed like they were prioritizing take outs instead of folks sitting down in the dining room. My wife and daughter's dinner came along with appetizers, they ate slowly, and 1 hour later my food still hasn't arrived, although we inquired a couple times. The last thing that came were the 2 appetizers including garlic edamame. Aren't appetizers supposed to come before entrees? By the time all the food on the table was consumed, I had to cancel my dinner. And I had to go out and find something else to eat.
And the worst part of it, they did nothing to accommodate us. Mostly long emotionless faces, some dry apologies, but mostly don't care attitude. We won't be going there anytime soon. The neighborhood doesn't need a place...
