Would be a nice course but it’s too confusing and the lack of signs telling you where to go next makes it impossible to play. I drove around for a bit trying to find the parking lot near the start if the course. I gave up and parked in an area in the middle of the park that was near several baskets. I quickly find the tee pad for hole 3, walk it back and I find hole 2.. Try to walk that back and I find an unlabeled tee pad with an unlabeled basket about 50 feet from it. 200 feet back is another basket...so I walk that back...not sure if I was even heading in the right direction I walk back to another tee pad with a sign... YES, I finally found hole 1! Awesome! For some reason it starts in the corner of the park around a baseball diamond with the nearest parking lot around 100-200 yards away. I then noticed that each tee pad has 2 baskets. No problem. I throw the long on hole 1, finish the hole, and at the end of it is that unlabeled tee pad I mentioned earlier. I have no idea what hole it is... I knew where the actual hole 2 was already, along the walking path, so I head there. I throw hole 2, no problem other than the 2 baskets for that hole are like 30 feet apart which makes it pointless to have 2 baskets for this hole.. Ok so I then walk to hole 3. I throw hole 3 to the middle of a big field, which would easily be considered middle of the fairway. As I walk up I notice my disc was laying equally 100 feet away from 4 different baskets....a 5th basket sat 200 feet away.. Which one is my basket? Don't know, only the one for hole 6 is labeled.. I check all 4 baskets and essentially give up because i’d like to play the course, not to random baskets as I see fit.. So I give up and start walking to the nearest tee pad....It’s the tee pad for 18... No, I want to play more holes, not play the last hole.. I then walk to another sign near the playground equipment. It has a dirt pad, and it’s hole 4. Hole 4 points towards the field with the 4 baskets.. Which baskets are for hole 4?... Who knows?.... I then give up and decide to go look at the river area before I leave. Would have been nice to play the rover holes, but I was fed up with the course at that point.. I walked along the river to the furthest basket along the river (which I was wrong, I found one more way past that one as I was driving out.. So confusing..) and walked back a couple holes to the first tee pas along the river.. It was labeled 5 (don't know how hole 5 ended up down there, but ok?...) but that tee pad also had a very nicely custom made sign that said “hole 6”. On the signs there are 3 baskets shown for the “hole 6 sign” and 2 baskets shown for the “hole 5” sign.. And all 5 distances to the baskets are different. Which one is which? Looking from the tee pas I see 3 possible baskets it could be.. Yup.. This is the stupidest course i’ve ever played.. I’m from Michigan, we know our disc golf. I came here for work and played a very hilly course in Dubuque that I liked. I’ve played many confusing courses all over and still managed to figure them out slowly but surly.. Never have I just given up like I did today.. Tried to find a map online but there was nothing.. 52 degrees and sunny on December 10th 2020, somehow ended up being a crapy day to disc.. My advice, avoid...
Read moreWe had a great time fishing for carp and small mouth bass. My boys loved exploring the creek and even found a little waterfall/waterslide they immediately felt like the castaways from the movie "The Swiss Family Robinson". Lots of jogging paths and squirrels, songbirds, geese and ducks to see. Enough hills to make it a challenge to jog with a stroller if you are not up for it on certain trails but a blast for the kids to get exercise on with their bikes. A hidden gem. A secret garden within a bustling...
Read moreI'm in the Military and I'm about to Move me and My wife to Arizona, so me and my best guy friends got together for the last time in a Long time and we played hide and seek in the dark just like we did as kids. I'm very happy to say that this a relatively safe place to be, and that I'm glad to have spent some final moments for a few years with my best...
