My husband and I have an extremely hyper active/anxiety ridden German Shepherd mix, she is 2.5 years old (human yrs.) and also a new XL Bully puppy (born June 30th) with lots of energy. I do daycare during the day and it really gets my Shepherd wound up by the end of the day… I was looking for a dog park to go late night when my hubby gets off and we are kid free so we can take the dogs to run off their junk together. We came to this one and pulled into the dark highschool parking lot only to be blinded by Plymouth PD shining their bright spotlight in our face while operating our vehicle (not safe or cool at all), we decided to ask him if we were in the right location for the dog park to which he very rudely yelled “ITS HERE AND ITS CLOSED!” I told my husband to share with him we’d seen on google that it was 24 hrs. He interrupted again with “ITS CLOSED?!?!” In a tone suggesting we were remedial for not high-tailing it out of there the first time and daring to clarify the information we thought to be true. So my husband tries again, and the officer lets him finish this time… and says “Not sure why it would say something like that, ITS CLOSED.” So we left dogs still pacing the backseat and whining from anxiety and a nervous car ride.. so disappointed and sad for my pups. This would have been perfect. Please specify the accurate hours on the google overview so this unpleasant encounter doesn’t have to leave anyone else feeling uneasy before...
Read moreSmall dog park with not a lot of ground cover so it can probably get pretty muddy. No other dogs were there. Also, if your dog is nervous or sensitive to loud sounds, the park is right next to a business that continuously makes really loud metal sounds. Between that and the loud noises of the kids landing jumps in the skate park on the other side of the park, my dog was shaking and ready to go after only 5 minutes. I have never seen her ready to leave a dog park so fast. She practically ran to the car:/ Will not be back. There are so many other dog parks that are quieter, bigger, and with better...
Read moreIts a dog park! No frills, but open & pleasant. There is a sheltered spot in a corner with a picnic table & there are little I guess you call them "training platforms" two of em. There is a swing bench along one side and they have some nasty astro turf here and there. Bring your own water & something to pick up poop. My biggest problem with this place is that people don't clean up after their pets. The place is about 75 by 50 yards. Its mostly weeds, but the height is about an inch or so and my dog loves to run and play. It gets busier after 4pm. I like...
