Finally visited the Arizona Taco Company and had a delicious feast. I heard so much about this place and I can say it lived up to the hype! We got the Dunkin Tacos, Birria Ramen, Carne Asada Fries, Carnitas Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, a Al Pastor Burrito, and as a bonus, Sopapilla!
To start the Ramen Birria was much better than I expected. Very flavorful and filled with meat and Ramen. The Dunkin Tacos were great, filled with lots of meat and cheese, so you cheese addicts would probably enjoy them. To give a little flavor bump we took some of the spare onions and cilantro from the regular tacos and added them into the Dunkin Tacos. Very very good Birria Tacos. Carne Asada Fries are a must try. Their fries alone are excellent but with Carne Asada, Cheese, Jalapeno, Pico, and Sour Cream, they are a meal all on their own. The Burrito was ok, I couldn't get a good taste of the Al Pastor, I mostly could just taste the Beans and other various fillings. I love Carnitas and their Carnitas were on point! Some of the best Carnitas I've had! As for the Shrimp Tacos I wasn't a huge fan but they weren't bad, like the Burrito, too much was in the way of the shrimp for me. As an unexpected bonus we got Sopapilla. They were surprisingly very good, in a guilty pleasure kind of way. The taste remined me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but much more flavorful and more indulgent with the added cream. My sister also pointed out that they made a smiley face with the cream!
Overall I would highly recommend this place. We enjoyed the food and the service was great. Also the bonus dessert at the end was a wonderful surprise and a yummy way to end our feast! A very very kind gesture by the owner (I believe he...
Read moreI came on a Saturday afternoon at around 3pm and it wasn’t overly crowded. The place was clean and workers were kind and welcoming.
I came to try the ramen birria and ended up ordering the ramen, a steak quesadilla, dunked tacos, and a walking taco.
Ramen - 8.5/10 I like salty foods and I’ve been to places where the broth has no flavor. This broth had just the perfect amount of salt with tons of flavor. I added 2 pieces lime and it made the broth that much better! The portion was a good size. The amount of meat you receive in the ramen was more than plenty. The noodle to meat ratio was perfect. Meat was very tender!
Dunked Tacos - 8/10 A lot of meat and good amount of cheese. Definitely a cheese pull when I had my first bite. The sauce, again, was good.
Walking Taco - 8/10 The portion was pretty large. To be honest, nothing too special, but if you’re not wanting to make it at home I recommend ordering this. The ground beef had good flavor.
Quesadilla - 8/10 There was a ton of shredded beef. For beef choices they had ground, shredded or asada. You can choose any other protein you’d like. I didn’t try it, but my boyfriend would have wanted just a little more cheese. It comes with lettuce, tomato and sour cream on the side.
I want to guess he’s the owner, but the man working the register with the sleeve was so welcoming and friendly. Throughout our time there he would check in to ask how we were doing and he gave us some free dessert before leaving.
Overall, I would highly recommend and I’d go back for the birria tacos and...

The Food:
Birria Ramen: Smooth, not too salty, could taste the spices and depth of flavor but was not spicy. There wasn't any over flavoring with the broth. The cilantro and onions added a nice herbal taste to the broth. Overall, I feel like the broth tastes like a good solid menudo broth without the tripe. Instant ramen was the type of noodles. The meat was heavily stewed beef and there was a lot of shredded beef in the birria. Every bite of ramen was accompanied by the shredded beef. I would order this again.
El Pastor Taco: the tortilla was warm, had a little crisp. The pastor was not the kind that I choose. I'm not a pineapple pastor person, but for the type of pastor that they had, it was good. Savory, sweet from the pineapple, a little crispy, add some lime and it's a pretty nice bite.
Sauces: Red regular, not hot just a regular salsa. The green was smooth, cool, cilantro/avocado taste. No spice. Hot sauce was not hot but yet felt like it was the green sauce but added chipotle into it (still very good). Those looking for spice should not expect it to be spicy.
Churro nachos: Exactly like what you'd expect. Deep fried, crispy, cinnamon, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle bites of heaven. Absolutely the best thing there.
Would I make my way from central or east metro for this? No. Would I go there if I was around the area? Yes. Definitely a solid and preferred option if you're...
