Phenomenal!!! Skip and Jeff are wonderful and treated me like family. I read reviews for several dive companies before deciding who I was going to dive with, and I'm incredibly happy that I chose Aqualife Divers. Based on my experience, I am completely baffled by the negative reviews. I was in Florida visiting my snowbird parents and I decided that I wanted to a day of diving before my next big dive trip. Prior to this trip, I had not visited my parents while they were in Florida since 2015 (this is important - keep reading).
The first day, I was the least experienced diver on the trip (I've only been diving for 3 years) and I immediately felt welcomed by the entire Aqualife staff. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with smiles. The staff kept us fully about the dive sites and the briefing was detailed and understandable. During the first dive, I got seasick for the first time, my camera wouldn't turn on, and my mask flooded. I was utterly embarrassed. The staff and even the other divers were empathetic and reassured me that getting sick happens from time to time. The team was fully prepared to care for me, the coolers were fully stocked with drinks (including an abundance of ginger ale) and they had ginger candies. Skip was my dive buddy for the first two dives because I was the only person who did not have a buddy. Skip was incredibly patient with me - I take a long time to descend because of my ears and he held my camera for me when I saw that I was getting tangled up. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful that Aqualife offered to provide lunch for me since I was staying the entire day. Despite getting sick and not having the best dives, I decided that I wanted to return the next day. However, when I woke up the next day, I was exhausted and frustrated that my camera still wasn't working. I called Aqualife and Jeff was extremely flexible and allowed me to reschedule for the next day. My second day of diving was incredible, I helped my buddy find lobsters that he was catching and Skip taught me how to hold three live lobsters at a time (one in my mouth and two in my hands). I had such an amazing experience with Skip and Jeff and the entire Aqualife Divers' staff that I purchased a package of 10 dives, I am committed to coming back next year. I went to Florida to visit my parents and I left Florida with new...
Read moreThis is the absolutely worst trip I have ever been on. We rented this charter to find lobster. Went out, and we found quite a few lobster. Everybody had their limit, at least. When I looked at them, I saw small lobsters and people having over 6 in their bag, and nobody said anything. So I was wondering how these people can get away with this. All of a sudden, another boat approaches, and it is Florida's FWC Wild life officers. They boarded the boat and made us all pull out our lobster. While one guy tried to throw his extra losters back in the water sneakily, he was caught.Told the operator of the boat, he didn't even have a Dive flag out, and they didn't know what kind of charter they were running as that is the most simple law to follow. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. To have Officer lecture everyone on the boat on stealing lobster under size and having over the limit. One man was arrested for having too many, even after he threw a few back. Now, they have this video on YouTube. I don't want a picture of me on YouTube getting pointed out as a thief. But thanks to this charter, this has now happened. I have never even gotten a speeding...
Read moreI’ve had the pleasure of diving with AquaLife Divers twice now, and I can confidently say they stand out from the crowd. Having dove all over the world and with just about every operator in South Florida, from Jupiter to Key West, AquaLife offers some of the friendliest, most accommodating service I’ve experienced.
What sets them apart is their relaxed approach — you dive until it’s time to come up, without the rigid 45-minute surface deadlines some other operators enforce (looking at you, SFDH). There’s no sense of being rushed, which makes the whole experience far more enjoyable.
Their boat is well-equipped with solid flags and reels for everyone, and if you’re hunting, they even have a cleaning station conveniently located on the dock. Jeff and Skip run a smooth, professional operation, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the crew.
A special touch: AquaLife is the only operator I’ve seen offering adult beverages on the ride back to the dock — a thoughtful way to wrap up a great dive. Everyone on board was friendly, with zero attitude, making the entire experience top-notch from start to finish. Highly recommend! Randel S....
