Goldner Walsh was just what we were looking for - an event space with character! Our wedding planning process with them was wonderful. Their event manager was kind, helpful, and attentive; even when we asked for additional walk throughs before the event to soothe this bride's anxiety! We also loved the flexibility that this venue offered - we were able to bring in catering, decor, etc. that we liked. The venue owner even jumped in to help with clean up when the night was over! It was a wonderful experience and I am so glad we chose Goldner Walsh as our wedding venue!
We also used their florist to supply decorative greens and bouquets for our event. Our florist, Emma, was so wonderful to work with. I have very little knowledge of flowers and floral arrangements, but she was so helpful in helping me find the perfect flowers to fit our wedding's aesthetic. She also was able to make recommendations on alternative options when we were discussing family allergies to specific flowers and greens. I appreciated that she was flexible when we added an extra bouquet and some stems for our photographer's detail shots after our contract was signed. It was nice that since we got married onsite, they were able to keep our flowers and greens in the fridge until the last minute - so nothing was wilted because...
Read moreGoldner Walsh did a wonderful job not only on the flowers for my wedding but also the centerpieces for my wedding shower! Laura and her team were able to put everything together exactly the way I hoped for and all of the arrangements were so beautiful!
My family used to live in Pontiac and we always went to Goldner Walsh for our flowers. However, the last time we went there was about fifteen years ago but Laura (the head manager) immediately remembered my mom! I couldn't believe it! They are very busy, however, so I did experience some delay in getting responses to a few of my emails but I always did eventually get an answer and if you just call them, you can always get an answer immediately.
One of the biggest factors for me was the cost of the wedding flowers because, first, no one but the bride generally remembers what they look like and, two, my particular venue had a LOT of tables (32!) so I was very concerned that the flowers could wind up being such a huge part of the wedding budget. Goldner Walsh worked with us and was able to design beautiful arrangements within the price we wanted. I recommend...
Read moreI came in looking for a plastic pot. A nice young man who greeted me was willing to see if he had some nursery plants in the back. A few moments later a woman came out and said she didnât have the size pot I was looking for, then proceeded to immediately tell me that the store was closing. I interpreted her telling me this was that I should hurry up, make my purchase and leave. I responded that I thought the store was open until 7. She responded that the decision was made earlier in the week to close at 6 because they didnât have foot traffic later in the evening.Meanwhile, a couple of customers had entered the store and she turned them away stating the store was closing. I felt her actions were very rude. I work in retail and know the importance of providing excellent customer service to encourage customers to shop brick and mortar as opposed to shopping on Amazon . With her terrible service I will just shop on-line if you donât value the the customers who choose to come Into your store to shop. Just awful. She...
