Mustang Island Adventures — Attraction in Port Aransas

We spent our 2025 summer vacation at Cinnamon Shores and had Mustang Island Adventures set up a bonfire and beach chairs. We take a family beach trip every year! Cinnamon Shores tries hard to compete with 30A in Florida, but I’ll be retiring to Florida!! First, the golf cart we rented with a speaker didn’t have a working speaker. We finally received a credit for the difference, but it was still disappointing and inconvenient. Secondly, we had a good experience with the bonfire set up but it quickly turned negative. My husband left his glasses on the chair at the bonfire, with our name attached to the chairs. They were left in a spot only those folding up chairs at night would be able to see. We immediately called and the team said they’d be on the lookout. It wouldn’t be hard for the employees to know who they belonged to since our name was attached to the chairs! I received no word from them, even after calling and texting several times. These were easily identifiable glasses as they had after market lenses. We requested they question their team members as one was seen wearing glasses VERY similar to my husband’s the day AFTER they went missing from the bonfire! Not a good look! I was told many times they’d look into it and call back, but it’s been over two weeks and I’ve heard nothing front them! I requested to speak to the Mustang Island team but the front desk would not provide contact! Doesn’t seem too professional to me. The chair set up was without event. The beach was clean, and mobile bathrooms were provided. Lastly, our house was listed as “bay view” but it should have been listed as “golf cart parking lot view.” It was a nice house and we enjoyed our stay, but know they do not have all their stuff together as advertised! We had a few issues once we arrived. We could not lock the front door and when we called we were told to use force to lock it. We did all we could and called again. Someone came by and said there was definitely an issue and they would call it in to get serviced. No one showed up the first evening and we had to sleep with the doors unlocked the first evening. The elevator was also giving us issues and we called that in as well. By the next morning I had to call in again, for the 3rd time before they told me the elevator had been reset. (I should have received an update on that prior to my call.) I also had to call a 3rd time for before someone else came out to take care of the door lock. We also had ants on our kitchen counter for the duration of the stay. I also called that in and was told someone would come to take care of it and no one ever came by the entire weekend. Made it very inconvenient to make food and keep it out on the counter. Finally, We received the golf cart dirty, with sand and trash still in the cart. Other than that, it ran fine and it was nice to have the easy accessibility to the beach and surrounding areas. The homes was beautiful and the resort was full of things to do. Mustang Island Adventures met all of our needs and more! Our beach chairs were set up on time every morning, and they were quick to come and move our umbrellas and beach chairs to a different arrangement when needed! We did the social bonfire and had an absolute blast! The fire pit was dug out of the sand with pillows for comfort and they came around and offered to add logs to keep the fire burning as long as we wanted. We added the s’mores kit and had plenty to go around (such a nice addition)! The golf carts were lovely and so convenient! The accessibility of the community was so perfect and we loved being able to take the golf carts out onto the beach. The photographer was amazing, we chose a sunrise photo package and it was beautiful! She captured everything we wanted and more!
