Don't go here. I dont know what happened, but this time we went dead sea weed everywhere, dead fish washed up smelled bad. The worst part was that there were clumps of crude oil everywhere. This was on July 3 . We had to buy orange soap that mechanics use to remove it from our bodies and scrub . We threw our sandles and clothe away to avoid getting it stained in our van. We asked a lady that lived there, and she said it was normal to get oil on you. Find another place.

Clean, soft, fine sand. Shells common to the gulf are plentiful but small in size. Port A does not disappoint. If you plan on parking on the beach, make sure you pick up a parking pass readily available in Port A at convenience stores, IGA... They're a modest $12. for the year. The fine for parking without one is $500. There is plenty to do and see on the island.

The first time I’ve been to Port Aransas. The beach is large and the water was pretty clear and warm. The environment was great and everyone was very welcoming. The only issue you will encounter is the parking. It is difficult to find anywhere remotely close to park without a permit. But for a day trip it’s definitely worth it.

It’s the beach. I wish they would let it be and stop moving the sand around with heavy machinery. Let nature handle itself. Turn off your traction control on your vehicle and switch to snow/wet throttle control, and you won’t get stuck in the sand.

People need to pick up their trash, and not leave their broken canopies laying all over the place. There are two big trash bins every 10th mile, and some still can’t put in the effort to throw their trash away. I’ve even seen people dig a hole, and bury their trash. The trash bins are like...
