Didn't take long to figure put why 75% of the stadium is empty every time we go. The concession is almost as embarrassing as the Mets record year after year. Please tell manangement your Chicken tenders have hard plastic like chunks inside them. This is rib meat garbage fake chicken substitute. If you wanna sell 12$ chicken tenders get better quality tenders. When you have hot dog night remember only around 500 people at must will be in attendance so no need to pre cook all the hot dogs and wrap them in foil hours ahead of time. The buns are garbage after about 20 minutes let alone a couple hours. Is it really that hard to place a fresh hot dog on a bun and serve it? 8$ for a water and that's not an exaggeration. We asked for a small plastic cup for our son who wasn't feeling good and couldn't afford 6$ sodas or 8$ waters for all 4 of our children so figured they'd at least give us a small cup to pour some of the soda into but the staff refused. Told us they were only for employees. Well I'm sure there won't be many employees left after another pathetic year of attendance. Embarrassing and obviously trickles down from the top. Going on what 40 years no championship so keep gouging the local community and they will continue to not show. Whoever is the food and beverage director should be ashamed and fired immediately. Take care of the local community they will take...
Read moreNow known as Clover Park, this stadium has had the benefits of renovation and revamping from a big investment by the New York Mets. After having visited Roger Dean in Jupiter and Fitteam in Palm Beach, this stadium is above average. Of course, Fitteam is the newest and most brilliant, but this is right behind that one in terms of fun and accessibility. The tickets for the grassy knoll in the outfield are cheap and not bad at all. Of course, there’s scarcely any shade, and the sun can be quite intense there, but it was comfortable considering where it is. The regular stadium seats are fine and are comparable to a minor league stadium, and the experience felt quite like for spring training, but with MLB stars.
They had a pretty decent selection of tasty food, and the prices were alright. The best deal was certainly the chicken basket, only slightly more than the burger but with much more food. If you arrive early enough before the game, you can see the players warming up on the practice facility right next by and on the field as well. The players, coaches, and front office guys are sometimes willing to chat or at least give a friendly wave. I would certainly come back here to another spring training and possibly minor league game with the St....
Read moreThis is a fun little stadium to watch a baseball game. It opened in 1988 but appears much newer than that.
I liked that there is a lot of standing room along the outfield with views of the field. Plenty of concessions and bars give many options with lower wait time. There is a grass area in right field called "the hill" where one can lay down on grass and watch the game (or fall asleep lol). There are plenty of bathrooms.
The bad: Parking is $15. 22oz beer is ~$13 and mixed drinks are $19+ (without tip). Team store prices are absurd. Fitted hats were $55. They should have some more economical options along with the higher priced items so there is something for every fan. Right field concourse is not connected to left field concourse, so you have to walk all the way around home plate to get from one...
