Murray Park — Attraction in Porterville

Murry Park has a lot of memories from so many visits over the years. When we were little, we had ducklings. Once they got bigger, we took them to the pond, where they became part of the Murry Park family. We went often to feed the ducks. Back then, we brought bread for them. I feel bad now because bread isn't good for the ducks. Now you can go to the feed stores and get them food. There are other things, but bread is certainly not for them. I miss when they had another pond they could go to across the street. Although I worried about them crossing, I'm sure it was a nice change for them. Watching them fly over our home. When I was in junior high, we went to Murry Park for our Renaissance Fair. I had photo shoots here throughout the years. We had birthday parties. I remember the boys racing down the hill and ended up rolling down the hill. That was fun to watch. I took my child for the first time when I moved back. The pool being right up the hill made it fun. They have more places for kids to play. Just laying in the grass under a tree relaxing. My child fishing, playing with cousins. Now watching our kids play with their cousins. So many memories I could go on and on. I'm sure you get the point. You to can make your own memories. Murry Park isn't like the other parks. They are all great in their own way. Murry park is a great place to go. During the summer the park opens the pool so people can go swimming. There's a duck pond swings a small Creek, walking trails and barbeque pits its a great place to have a birthday party. It has big open spaces along with a spot for the kids to play. Oh ya the park put a load of fish into the pond so children under the age of 16 can fish without a fishing license. Its a place to have fun with the whole family.
