This place was highly recommended by a friend in the beer business and we've wanted to check it out forever! Well tonight was the night. Tonight may have also been the completely wrong night.... They had just done a fundraiser for something to do with kids (why at a brewery?...) so there were about 10-15 small children running around the ENTIRE place without any care of anyone else, nor did the parents/chaperones do anything. Jumping on the furniture, trying to climb out the windows, playing under the table we were sitting at, and still nothing was done by the parents or bar workers. Beer was okay... But the fact they keep the place open for that type of fundraiser... Not cool. Breweries should not be playgrounds for small children running wild. We basically had to chug our beers and get out of there because of the noise, lack of seating because the kids took all the chairs and we're playing with them and the lack of supervision/care from the workers or parents. Maybe next time, think of shutting the place down to the public if you're going to have this type of event. I may come back, but it won't be for a very long while and I will be telling my friends about...
Read moreDo not be fooled by the toys, games, and high chairs! This place is not kid friendly. We came with our very sweet and bubbly 14 month old at 5:00. Our little guy was playing on the carpeted area where we were sitting, laughing and playing peekaboo with other guests. Staff told us twice that we needed to get him to be quiet as they are trying to maintain a certain type of atmosphere. I also heard staff taking loudly in the back "how dare someone bring their child and ruin the vibe". I chugged my beer and we left. I used to love this place before baby. Very sad to have to tell all of my friends with kids not...
Read moreGluten-Reduced and I could’t even tell! Read that on an info sheet just before leaving, in fact. Outstanding service from our great bartender, even when we arrived somewhat close to closing time. Tried some tastes of their beers and settled with their IPA and Golden Ale. IPA tasted good and was 6.5% but felt a bit heavier than that (session IPA available on tap, though). I loved their Golden Ale- bit of wheat and a light hop-bite. Perfect for the summer. Would definitely come back to Leikam Brewing. Also, my wife loved...
