Riverfront Park — Attraction in Portland

It is a wonderful "hidden secret" as I often refer to it as. Whether you are with a group of 100 people, a party of 2 or if you are alone its a great place to take some time to relax. Enjoy the view of the green grass and the water. Catch a tan on the green grass. Tire your kids out before bed let them go on the jungle gym the swings the slide the monkey bars. It's also a wonderful place if you just want to take some time for yourself to relax maybe read a book go over your emails on your cell phone or whatever. it's a nice quiet large place that's including the parking lot which is rather large. giving people plenty of room and personal space. One of the main reasons why I really like Riverfront Park is because it's spacious which allows you to have some privacy. At the same time it could get a little more crowded sometimes. Then again what place doesn't LOL It also depends on what time of day it is, also which day of the week it is. You should check it out sometime. Its located right off of Jennings road exit 33 Hartford CT off of 91...

Spring is almost here! Took the family for a walk through Riverfront Park in Portland. Beautiful views of the river, great for families. Portland put on great events during the summer. Needs a little cleaning, unfortunately some lower IQ individuals threw their plastic bottles and coffee cups in some brush. I'm sure the parks department will be going out soon to pick up after them. On the way out had to rush the little ones in the car because of the teenagers smoking pot in their car. Maybe if the police do a drive by on nice days...

Really amazing park. Its so neat to see all the Brownstone, benches, walls, and walkways. The paths are easy to follow and fairly accurate when following the map. The labyrinth not being up yet is my only disappointment. Such an amazing walk to revitalize your senses, the wind through the yrees and off the way and the soubds of the birds, not to mention all the beautiful colors of the trees and flowers. Lots...
