Well today I was taken to Brownstone Park for the absolute first time by my ever so caring and loving mother accompanied by my daring younger brothers of ages 7 and 9 and quite frankly if i wouldn't have gone with them i would have had the worst time and my 5 star review would have instantly have changed to a 1 star. Here are some reasons why.... First of all arriving at the park was a hassle because their parking lots were just kind of randomly placed and kinda hard to find and far away from the park itself. Due to the parking lots being so far away from the actual park they had guys come in small vans drive by and pick us up and drop us off at the parks gate. The van had a god awful smell of body odor and i don't even know what else and the male driver we had was incredibly reckless and was swerving all over the place. The van was incredibly small and very cluttered. Also the seats were also damp from the people who had previously sat in them when leaving the park. When we arrived at the gates there were picnic tables to your right in which you have to sign a waver that basically states that if you get hurt it is not there fault and so on.There was so much people having to sign the wavers there was an actual line and there was three picnic tables with only 1 pen per table so it honestly took forever waiting to use a pen. The restrooms are directly in front of the gates on your left and i shouldn't even say restrooms more like tiny unkept and uncleaned cabins. Toilet paper all over the floor. Dirt everywhere. Trash all over the floor including a pad wrapper. Once again the stench of the restroom was horrific honestly it smelled like ass and yes i understand it is a restroom but still it is just unsanitary. They were just disgusting. In the ladies room there were three stalls three freaking stalls and a line coming out the door. There are life vests you have to put on even if you are a full grown adult of the weight 90+. The life vests looked very used and torn up. Basically the stuff that makes the life vest float was coming out of 3/4 of all the vests. Walking to all the activities you have to walk on these poorly carpeted docks that were bound to break at any moment. i almost fell into the water just walking on them. There is also a rope that helps you balance on the docks but i actually got a sliver from the rope lodged in my finger which didn't feel very great. The rope wasn't even rope it was more like plastic braided together. The courses in the water all had issues. The inflatable slide was impossible to get up because the thing that is attached to the slide to help you climb up was deflated so unless you were helped up there was no possible way to get up unless you struggled for 20 minutes straight. The balance beams in the water looked like a crocodile bit half of the spinning beam off and which made it hard to walk across. The rocking inflatable balls or whatever weren't tied into onto the ball properly or the ground which made it flip over every time trying to climb up it. Like i said the restrooms were all the way at the front of the park and there were no restrooms except for port a pottys which were puke-worthy and way worst than the bathrooms so unless you wanted to walk a good 15 to 20 minutes to the other side of the park you would have to hold your blatter. The lines for zip lining were long and had the ability to turn a patient person not patient due to the excessive amount of people there (forgot to mension the amount of people there took up all the empty space available at the park and more.) Another issue with the zip lining is they basically threw the harness at you and expect you to know how to put it on without any questions being asked and they don't tell you the right way to hold onto the rope or even the proper position to zip line in, nothing. Basically everything seemed unsafe. The few life guards were very inattentive with only this one girl who seemed to run the place telling them what to do. Anyways i enjoyed my time experiencing somethingadventureous with...

Hello. I visited your park for the first time today. Although the setting is beautiful and I did manage to have fun, there were several safety issues that appalled me. As an avid mariner I take water safety seriously and would think a park such as yours, where people are taking moderate risks in the water, would as well. On my visit on Saturday July 25th, 2014, we had an extremely difficult time finding a safe and viable life vest. Over 50% of them were ripped and torn. A solid 30% were ripped so badly that foam was popping out. A solid 60% and more had no back loops so folks were unable to properly fasten their life vests and secure them to their bodies. I actually saw one of your staff show a guest how to tuck her flapping vest under the two adult body wraps. Really? Staff? This of course flew up the moment the woman hit the water. I saw as many children running around with flapping life vests as I did adults. I saw children climbing rocks with bare feet and flapping vests and watched those same vests hit the wearer in the head repeatedly from the speed of the zip line decent. On the zip line where you release and drop into the water I watched several folks drop in and have those flapping vests pop up and cause them issues; serious safety issues. We opted to try one of the zip lines and were further upset by the lack of safety there. We used the line nearest the big yellow water slide at the lower height level. The gentleman giving us the harness did not at any point show us how to put on the harness until one of my party pleaded. When he complied, it was with attitude and reluctance. I climbed the rope ladder to the top where a female staff member did not check my harness. I demanded that she check each and every restraint. Again, I was treated poorly and with annoyance. I also requested she check on the two other members of my party, one of which was my 12 year old daughter. She did not. She simply hooked them up and shoved them off. In my life I have never been to any park, public or private where safety was so blatantly disregarded. I do not blame the staff as it is obvious they are not trained to follow protocols that ensure safety like other parks where they check each restrain, belt, etc. The fault lies with the management responsible for training the staff and with the corporation hiring that management. It is such a shame that a park with such potential has shady safety practices at best. In fact, each attraction states only USCG approved life vests may be used but I know of no USCG inspector that would approve broken and destroyed vests. I took several pictures of the flapping vests I mention above although one visit to the park would reveal a thousand of them or more. I would prefer you raise the cost of admission to ensure that each guest has a solid vest meant to save them from any aquatic accident than to continue the practice...
Read morePlease don’t waste your money on a birthday package. I spent over $800 on a private gazebo and adventure passes for my sons 10th birthday party only to be rushed out of the premises during closing time. The birthday cake that came with the package was frozen SOLID and was not brought out on time. They literally bought the cake out 10 mins before closing time and we couldn’t even enjoy it. Even as we sang happy birthday the staff was standing right outside our gazebo rushing us to get our belongings to leave. The worst part was as we grabbed everything and rushed out as we were leaving we saw other people just hanging out at their gazebo, WORST feeling ever! Even my 10 year old said the whole experience was hectic. Even when I first arrived they have you put your cooler near the gate while u get your pass and guess what another family took my cooler filled with food, nice. I was able to get the cooler back when I was informed food warmers are not allowed on the premises. So if you plan on bringing food just know they will not allow you to keep it warm but it should be stated on the company website I literally planned this for months and never saw that info. When I finally got to try to enjoy some of the water activities a kid literally fell on top of me after trying to climb one of the water floats. So not the safest make sure to keep your distance. Also we wanted to go on the bigger zip line but had to switch lines to the lower zip line after a 45 minute wait because they let a 8 year old kid attempt to go on the big zip line but he was too scared to go. Overall rude staff and not worth the money or the drive. It was fun for the kids but really not somewhere you go often. I’m not one to leave reviews but the experience was just horrible for the amount of money I spent. One of my guest was so discontent with the service that he actually spoke to the owner who offered us two free passes to return due to the inconvenience. The next day I called bridgette as told who was completely rude when I explained what happened she literally did not respond I thought she hung up NO COMPASSION and SO UNPROFESSIONAL she stated she can only issue the free passes when we have a date. WELL you can really keep the free passes do you think I’m worried about two free passes when I spent over 800 dollars… the...
