Carousel Village — Attraction in Providence

rich or poor I have seen them all come thru and become friends due to the kids sharing such a great time together. with kids they do not care who they have fun with. this is a place that allows this to happen. a really nice place with good and caring staff and they look out for the little people like they were their own. the village is neat and clean and a fun place. the carousel is vintage but kept in good repair everyone including the adults will have a great time here and on a nice day bring some bread and feed the ducks across the way. they will love you for it. the kids wlll scream and carry on with all the ducks coming for the bread. that in itself can be an event they will talk about. Go and have one heck of a good time and spend some quality family time together. Up the hill is a nice museum and the Botanical Garden is awsome. all with a minute or so...

I held a party here this weekend- all went well with one exception. I purchased 5 additional children who did not show- I understand the policy states no refunds- however with the profitability that RW Park makes in general from the zoo and carousel, along with paddle boats, pony rides, etc I would think the park would want to protect its reputation - I've lived in South Providence my whole life and come here on a daily basis and all I asked for kindly was a $50 refund and the fact that management is not willing to budge at all- is highly disappointing to me. As a manager who works for a service company myself, we also have terms and conditions and policies - however we would MUCH rather save face with a client than fight over $50. - Just a suggestion for management to consider. Now it isn't about the money...

We have a lot of fondness for this carousel, but it is important to know that the hours are seasonal!! Sadly no one had updated online, so we went today and they were closed.

February 1st thru March 31st the Carousel is open weekends only, noon to 4pm

April 1st thru June 30th the carousel is open on weekdays from noon to 6pm and on weekends from 11am to 6pm

July 1st thru Labor Day the carousel is open 11am thru 6pm daily

Post Labor Day thru October 31st the hours are daily noon thru 4pm

November 1st thru December 31 weekends only Noon thru 4pm

Spring Holidays and School Vacation Week 11am thru 6pm and it says to check Providence School...
