Snickers Gap - Appalachian Trailhead — Attraction in Purcellville

This is a great hike with plenty of parking. It's very close to Bear chase brewing so makes for a great day outing. This is a dry hike with no streams along the way to the overlook but its a beautiful lookout with a great view. There are good hikes on both sides of Snickers Gap - the north side of rt 7 has a small parking lot (off Pine Grove road) with a trailhead that leads approx. 2.5 miles to Ravens Rock. The hike is a great workout with the constant uphill and downhill like a rollercoaster. The view isn't impressive but the forest by the trail is beautiful.
