Easy location right off of rt. 7. Tracy’s family has been running this restaurant since the 1940s. Tracy and her husband were so nice to us — we felt like family by the time we left because of all of the local history that was shared with us! The food was great!!! “Tracy’s Salad” was excellent and highly recommended — she finds the most fresh ingredients locally and combines them to create the best salad! The band was setting up, but it was time for us to leave — it seemed like they were going to start playing at around 9:00pm. Tracy’s husband went out of his way to make sure we knew that we were welcome and that he expected to see us again when we were in the area. We are from Washington DC and were exploring the vineyards for the day. This is a great place to land after a day in the Virginia...

If I could give this place Zero Stars, I would. Definitely a "if you aren't a regular, you aren't welcome here" vibe throughout the whole time. Way over priced portions were tiny, except for their "world famous fries" which must be world famous for being completely tasteless, yet incredibly oily. I only took them home to feed to my pet rats. Any attempt at friendly conversation with the staff was meet with either a curt response, or just a stare, yet he was very chatty with the regulars (they all knew each other by name). Staff would go outside to smoke, leaving no one inside.

Definitely will not be back, & will recommend folks just drive a little further down the road to Pine Grove Restaurant where at least the staff is friendly...

Off the beaten path, but well worth it. As the name implies, this restaurant sits dead center on a horseshoe curve, so there's no missing it. The outside seems pretty unassuming, but once inside there is an eclectic collection of funny signs, odd decor, and historical memorabilia. The owners Tracee and Jim are incredibly nice and willing to make conversation. My husband and I both ordered burgers and one side of fries. It was more than enough for us and our toddler to share. Everything was delicious and you could tell they cared about the product they were serving. It wasn't just some flat burger made to rush. Even though we're by no means locals to the area, we still felt right at home and comfortable. We will...

From the outside of this bar & and the restaurant was not sure if this place would be alright for kids & have any good food, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food was gourmet & it was enjoyable for my son. The bartender & server & chef (same man) made delicious food & treated us kindly.

We stopped in for some beers. All the food is fried and delicious. This is the most delightful little hole in the wall spot rooted with historical relevance. If you get a chance to talk to the owner and her husband, they are full of good stories!
