The QIA is just more proof that Quartzsite is the Most Backward and out of touch with normal realities this dumpy town is . Everywhere in all 50 states if you drive early in the morning to any form of community service group they ALL have signs which are lighted indicating where to pull into their lot ... but not here in Quartzsite Yesterday AT 530 in THE PITCH Black morning I drove my van to the QIA's once a month community Yard Sale ...and I had to creep along at under 5 miles an hour while I looked and looked for the entrance and was disgusted to see that there was NO Signage or markings anywhere telling us visitors where we should enter .... who the hell does that anywhere in this county ... everywhere even in the smallest towns they have the common sense enough to put up a simple sign to help and protect their visitors .... and there is'nt a single light pole in their parking lot so when you get there early to set up at the yard sale it's pitch black and you cant see a thing so you tumble about walking into parked cars hurting yourself ... everyone in America knows you light a parking lot for the safety of visitors .... who doesn't know that ...but after living here for 8 years in this horrible town after seeing that the City Hall and Library doesn't even have the common sense enough to put up a turn right here to enter sign at the 4 way stop like everywhere else in America does ... I'm not surprised the QIA doesn't even have the brains enough to put up a sign and light their parking lot for the obvious safety of their visitors ... is that too much to ask you people or do you enjoy being the only Community GROUP IN America who wants the world to know you're too stupid figure this out If you think I'm being too harsh here then change YOUR title " qUARTZSITE improvement association QIA)because how are you improving Quartsite when you do something so stupid and dangerous by not lighting your parking lot where Vendors at the Pow Wows arive very early IN THE total-morning Darkness and have to walk to their booths in the dark while cars trucks and vans are pulling into the lot all...
Β Β Β Read moreQIA is an Association in Quartzsite. I only just became acquainted because a few ladies and myself learned you can get Line Dance Classes there. The classes for Beginner are First Wednesday of the month from Noon to 2pm. Other Wednesday Beginner classes are 10 to Noon. $6 is the fee and you don't have to join QIA to participate in the classes. The instructor was excellent! She broke things down well. She taught 4 different line dances that day. I will say I wouldn't have remembered ANY of them by the end of the day had I not asked a student to let me video the steps and I wrote down the names of the Line Dances. I was exhausted! What a great aerobic workout! I would have preferred 2 or 3 dances and more time to practice those. But overall a GREAT and FUN experience. They have Level 1 (Beginner) up to Level 4 classes on different days....

It truly is, the best Gem and Mineral show in Quartzsite. Just wish they would pave the lot and we've have for years. The gravel hurts feet after walking through the show a while. Some carts have problems. My dad's small electric cart/scooterπ¨βπ¦Όπ©βπ¦Όπ§βπ¦Ό lost a wheel from the gravel. We recommend a scooter with air tires for a better ride and comfort. Parking around the show, recently has been awful. We've learned to drop off dad & scooter at show, park in the big east parking lot. Simply ride in the tractor tram that circles the show. Ps. Don't forget to tip the tractor tram to help keep it going π ...
