The new Villanova theatre building is beautiful. What a great place to go and enjoy an evening of theatre or other offerings. There are actually 3 performance spaces in the building - a small, black box theatre, a mid sized theatre with flexible/ changeable seating configurations, and a larger main stage theatre. There were 2 shows going the night we went so the lobby was a little crowded during intermission but that was the only downside I could see. A great building for great theatre! Go and check out a show! We're on visit #2 watching a fabulous production of "Sunday in the Park with George. " This show is in the Topper Theatre, the largest of the three performance spaces. It, too, is a beautiful theatre with a fully equipped stage (fly space - for the theatre people) I prefer sitting in the middle but we were toward the side and these seats were great too. I can week well imagine this theatre would be great for any show or other performance!

House of Desires was a great show. Villanova has an excellent theater program. Got to go again in the spring - SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE was fantastic!! The Topper Theatre space is beautiful and there are NO bad seats.

Best theatre on the main line. They might be grad students but the productions are professional in quality.

Chrysalis by Kathryn Petersen is a grande tour de force, blending the true story of 17th century natural philosopher (today we'd call her a scientist) Maria Sibylla Merian, her passion for understanding the cocoon metamorphosis of the caterpillar into butterfly or moth and the parallel oftimes conflicting paths with her two daughters. It's only a staged reading so far and only one more showing April 28th, so do not walk, but FLY to see it. Tickets are required but cost $0; that's right - there's no cost for catching this...

Villanova theatre is a small, intimate theatre and a great place to watch a show. There isn't a bad seat in the house. This has been home to the Villanova theatre productions for many years and there is one year before they move into their new facility. Take the time to go see a production during their last season at their...
