I have visited this trail at different points throughout the year and Spring may be the best. The flowers are so bright and the scents are so fresh and delightful. There are so many trails in Rancho Palos Verdes that cross paths, you can hop from one path to the other to create a hike great for all difficulty levels and ages. Great area for mountain biking and exploring different ocean views with paths that are hugged by trees and bushes to help keep you cool along the way. (During the summer it can be quite hot). At the junction by Burma Road Trail/Fire Station Trail/Ishibashi Trail you will find a porta potty and two garbage cans. Generally not packed because it is so spacious but you will come across other hikers and bikers enjoying the...

Somebody needs to review the corrupt practices vis a vis public access to the nature preserves and trailheads around here. It appears parking is only available via 24 hour reservation in spite of plenty of empty parking spots and wealthy surrounding neighborhoods have been granted blanket parking restrictions to discourage parking within reasonable distance of the trailheads. Maybe the public interest should also be considered in additional to the interests/lobby of wealthy property owners. If your tax dollars are supporting these public trails then you should speak out about about why access to them is so heavily weighted in favor of wealthy residents and...

Use to be a cool place to go but now they require you to reserve a parking 24hrs ahead like wth what if I get traffic n get there 2 hours later... so its not even worth reserving. One of the richest cities PV and still want more money smh. Ticket will run you 110 btw🤬. Fun place but the Rich have said screw you middle class folks n everyone under us smh. First it was the del Cerro parking lot n now the street...

Really amazing trail to either hike or mountain bike on. Great views of Catalina and tons of wildlife. Beware that RPV is trying to limit public access to this public trail by removing on-street parking, but if you park along Crest Road you can park for free, you just have to walk a little further. Let the city know that you think they should make parking free and easy for all trail visitors.

Beautiful trails with beautiful views. Wind your way through the hills wondering how anyone could afford the massive houses along the trail sides. Shade is sparse, but there's enough of it to take breaks under. If you're lucky enough, you might see a herd of about a hundred goats grazing on a hillside.
