I have visited this trail at different points throughout the year and Spring may be the best. The flowers are so bright and the scents are so fresh and delightful. There are so many trails in Rancho Palos Verdes that cross paths, you can hop from one path to the other to create a hike great for all difficulty levels and ages. Great area for mountain biking and exploring different ocean views with paths that are hugged by trees and bushes to help keep you cool along the way. (During the summer it can be quite hot). At the junction by Burma Road Trail/Fire Station Trail/Ishibashi Trail you will find a porta potty and two garbage cans. It appears parking is only available via 24 hour reservation in spite of plenty of empty parking spots and wealthy surrounding neighborhoods have been granted blanket parking restrictions to discourage parking within reasonable distance of the trailheads. Maybe the public interest should also be considered in additional to the interests/lobby of wealthy property owners.
