Raton Tourist Information Center — Attraction in Raton

An outstanding visitor center, way above the norm. Architecturally a gem with great vistas and shady, outdoor space with picnic tables for you who have traveled long and far and need a break. One block from I-25 at the junction of two major streets in Raton that lead to everywhere. The two gents at the desk were funny, friendly, and knowledgeable....what more could I ask.

We arrived after hours and it was getting late. We were able to stay there overnight and continue our journey the next day. They had maps and brochures outside the building which was very helpful. We found places to eat, Info on Capulin Volcano and great info on Raton. We were very grateful that they were there for us even though no one was there...
