I have to say, overall not the best experience...first time there, the parking people were a bit rude, the ticket people informed me that the tickets I bought online and were sent to me, apparently glitched and gave me the wrong day...so I apparently bought tickets for a day and time I'll be at work...food was terrible, popcorn was even stale, old cars beware they will make you turn off your car all together, I had to rebuy my tickets and likely won't get a refund...I hate to say it but I see why drive INS are dying off 40$ on food we didn't care for and made our stomach hurt and had to go to bathroom towards the end of the movie. And 60$ on buying tickets twice... it's cheaper and better not to do a drive in at that rate especially if you have an older car
I tried to be fair in my review, I was hoping the owner would take it as constructive criticism. I told 100% truth... I'm not saying popcorn isn't fresh each night, but I am saying the popcorn I bought was stale immediately after buying it. I'm not going to give a review for the owner to give a reply assuming I'm lying without looking into the issues at all. That's just going to make my review worse, it went from 2 stars to 1 star because of this. I had more problems then I mentioned, but I didn't want to be a Karen and still don't. From one business owner to another, I my advice would be to not immediately assume your business is perfect. I understand drive-ins are hard to run, and that people don't go to them as much anymore, and that's exactly why I went in the first place to try to support their business, but if you're not going to admit fault to anything or try to make anything right then my revised review isn't...
Read morethey changed how they charge for tickets. last season, it was $11 per person. now, it's $30 per car. that's great if you have a whole carload of people. i usually go by myself or with my partner. i don't want to pay $30 to see a movie. the regular theatre i go to in the winter is $5. charging per person was perfectly fair, the new prices are punishing smaller carloads and rewarding the people with huge gaggles of kids who disturb everyone or the teenagers who just got their license and feel like rebellion = being annoying in public. speaking of which, last time i was here, we ended up behind one such car and the whole family was talking, yelling, screeching, walking around, turning car on and off, and wearing/waving glow sticks through the whole movie. car a couple down from us was taking phone calls over her car radio, very loudly, with the windows down. the attendant walked past several times and did nothing. i grew up going to autorama where you BEHAVE YOURSELF or get kicked out. i really had a crappy experience and could barely hear the movie because i was distracted by about 6 different cars nearby all with rude, rowdy people in them. i went to the concession stand as well, and there was no visible menu, and no one around behind the counter. turns out the menu is around the corner and you can only see it once you are standing at the register, IF you turned around. it was confusing and i ended up just not getting anything. i started coming here when i moved to summit county cause it's closer, but in the future i will likely just be driving the hour to autorama so i can actually hear my movie and not...
Read moreFirst I'd like to say the price per carload is $30 and that is decent for a carload. I went by myself and was told the price would be $15 only to find out that they charged me $30 instead of the price I was told. Deceit or scamming you be the judge.
Secondly it's a good place to go if you like flashing lights, horns, alarms and lights randomly activating while you a trying to enjoy the movie you paid to see. I had several cars do this multiple times during the 1st movie and one car that left it's headlights on pointing directly into my windshield during the 2nd movie.
Thirdly I've never seen a business that allows children to run around freely without adult supervision like this place. I guess as long as you can walk you are permitted to Rome free here. "It's 10pm do you know where your children are".
Lastly the food quality is meh and the price are overpriced. An order of 5 mozzarella sticks was $8 as well as a dbl cheeseburger and onion rings. Onion rings and a double cheeseburger is $16 REALLY and it's probably a slider and 5 onion rings.
I've been attending this drive-in since the 1980s but I will never return. Good luck with your future endeavors and new customers. I just hope you...
