Sixty Acres Park — Attraction in Redmond

Here for a soccer tournament as a referee. Always a fun soccer park to visit. They have over 20 fields and ample parking. Fields are on both sides of NE 116th and they have people who help direct traffic so that reduces congestion and increases safety to all the players, spectators and especially referees who cross over NE 116th. Have always seen food vendors on site, but never eaten (special diet on game days) the food but it smells incredible. They also have a tent nearby with uniform vendors and other related items. Never seen a line at the port a potty's. Considering how much these fields get used over a tournament, the grounds crew does an incredible job on maintaining the pitch, which is all grass. If the sun is out, it can be difficult to see the markings on the field, but dont worry, the sun won't take away from everyone having a better angle then the ref!! If it does rain, the area has poor drainage so can make the games interesting or canceled. But for now, sunny skies and expected 80 degrees. All in all a favorite place to...

Its s soccer field(s) park. But you can fly r/c planes or r/c gliders here and even launch the mini build yourself rockets . lots of room for that and you can even go to the bathroom while visiting too. Be sure to use the provided bathrooms and honey buckets otherwise you might be explaining you uncivilized actions before a judge. Grass is green unless people fail to use the restroom facilities . Good quality soccer fields. Much better than the muddy ones at Marymoore. The grass at these fields are high quality. They have several large parking lots but even so the parking situation can be quite crazy. I like that they clearly number each field (on the goals). However, I don't like that the north and south fields are divided by a busy road and I wish they had a map of where the individual soccer fields are. It can take a good 30 minutes to find your soccer field if you happened to go to the wrong field. At least the numbering is consistent and doesn't...
